Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents face increasingly dangerous conditions as they work to secure America’s border.
Attacks on federal law enforcement have exploded since Trump took office.
And a Florida teen made one move against ICE that has DHS absolutely fuming.
Trump’s immigration crackdown is working, and the Left knows it.
Federal agents arrested an illegal alien at a Port St. Lucie gas station Tuesday morning when his 19-year-old son decided to send a message.
Pasqual Velasquez Martin grabbed a large landscaping rock and hurled it at an occupied ICE vehicle driving through the Wawa parking lot.¹
The rock shattered the rear window while federal agents sat inside.
Nobody got hurt this time, but these attacks keep getting worse.
Martin fled the scene thinking he’d get away with it.
Bad call.
Multiple federal agents in the area who witnessed the attack immediately took him into custody without incident.²
Port St. Lucie police charged Martin with throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle – a second-degree felony that could land him in prison for years.
He’s sitting in St. Lucie County Jail on a $25,000 bond while his father faces deportation.³
Attacks on ICE agents surge across Florida
Florida has become ground zero for Trump’s immigration enforcement operations, and the backlash is getting ugly.
ICE agents face an 830% increase in assaults compared to the same period last year, according to Department of Homeland Security officials.⁴
Florida leads the nation with 327 active 287(g) agreements allowing local law enforcement to assist federal immigration operations – that’s a 577% increase since Trump took office in January.⁵
When Trump says he’s serious about securing the border, he means it.
Port St. Lucie isn’t the only Florida city seeing violence against federal agents.
Another illegal alien from Mexico attacked a Florida Highway Patrol trooper during a traffic stop in Hillsborough County, choking and punching the officer before backup arrived.⁶
Leonardo Gomez Hernandez now faces two second-degree felonies – each carrying up to 15 years in prison – for battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence.⁷
These aren’t isolated incidents.
During a massive statewide operation called “Operation Tidal Wave” in late April, Florida law enforcement arrested more than 1,100 illegal aliens in just six days – the largest single-state immigration operation in ICE history.⁸
The operation targeted violent gang members including MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and multiple drug cartels Trump designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
Another coordinated sweep in September arrested more than 400 illegal aliens in Central Florida, including pedophiles, domestic abusers, and drunk drivers.⁹
Democrat rhetoric puts law enforcement in danger
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted Democrat politicians for creating the environment that led to these attacks.
“Democrat politicians like Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Governor Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles are contributing to the surge in assaults of our ICE officers through their repeated vilification and demonization of ICE,” McLaughlin stated.¹⁰
Thanks to the work of @Sec_Noem and @SecRubio and the men and women of law enforcement, this individual’s visa was revoked and he is in ICE custody pending removal.

The media makes things worse by spreading false narratives about ICE operations.
When federal agents rescued 14 children from potential exploitation and human trafficking, major outlets falsely reported a man died in law enforcement custody.
The truth? He wasn’t being pursued by law enforcement at all – he chose to climb onto a greenhouse roof and fell 30 feet.¹¹
The media also falsely accused ICE of “targeting” children to separate families.
That’s a complete lie.
ICE gives mothers the option to be removed with their children or designate a safe guardian the parent chooses.¹²
Port St. Lucie Police Chief Leo Niemczyk made it clear his department will continue supporting federal immigration enforcement regardless of political pressure.
“It’s business as usual. We’re going to enforce the laws,” Chief Niemczyk declared.¹³
Florida has 295 active or pending 287(g) agreements – more than three times the 95 in Texas and nearly nine times the 33 in Georgia.¹⁴
That’s not happening by accident.
Governor Ron DeSantis positioned Florida as the tip of the spear for immigration enforcement, working directly with the Trump administration.
“Florida is proud to work closely with the Trump administration and help deliver on the 2024 mandate from America that our borders be secured and our immigration laws be followed,” DeSantis said after Operation Tidal Wave.¹⁵
HOLY SH*T 🚨 Ron DeSantis pre staged over 50 thousand Lineman to help 4+ million people who lost power. This is how it’s done 👏

The message from Florida is crystal clear – attack federal law enforcement and face serious consequences.
Martin learned that lesson the hard way.
His father is being deported while he sits in jail facing felony charges that could send him to prison.
Every assault on an ICE agent is an assault on the rule of law itself.
Trump gave Americans a mandate to secure the border and enforce immigration laws.
Florida is showing the rest of the nation how it’s done.
