Rick Scott exposed one secret about Biden’s spying operation that had Democrats scrambling for cover

Nov 9, 2025

The Biden administration's dirty tricks are finally seeing daylight.

One Senator refused to stay silent about what happened to him.

And Rick Scott exposed one secret about Biden's spying operation that had Democrats scrambling for cover.

Rick Scott reveals he was targeted by Biden DOJ surveillance dragnet

Senator Rick Scott announced he was among the Republican lawmakers secretly targeted by the Biden administration's Arctic Frost investigation.¹

Scott learned his cell phone records were subpoenaed only after Senator Ron Johnson informed him during an ongoing probe into DOJ weaponization.²

The Florida Senator didn't mince words about what this really was.

"Let's be very clear: this was a targeted attack to dismantle the Republican Party, destroy me and other elected members of Congress, and take down President Trump," Scott stated.³

Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation subpoenaed phone records from at least 10 Republican senators and one House member as part of Arctic Frost.⁴

Judge James Boasberg approved the subpoenas and signed gag orders prohibiting phone carriers from notifying the lawmakers they were under surveillance.⁵

Verizon complied with Smith's demands and handed over Scott's records without telling him.⁶

AT&T pushed back against similar requests and refused to turn over records for Ted Cruz and another lawmaker.⁷

The subpoenas targeted phone records from January 4-7, 2021, seeking detailed information about calls, texts, and voicemail messages.⁸

Smith's team issued a staggering 197 subpoenas requesting information on more than 400 Republican individuals and organizations.⁹

Republicans targeted included Senators Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Josh Hawley, Marsha Blackburn, Bill Hagerty, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, and Cynthia Lummis, along with Representative Mike Kelly.¹⁰

This isn't the first time the government targeted Rick Scott

Scott reminded Americans that government weaponization against him has a long track record.

"I've seen this before," Scott wrote. "Biden's IRS released my tax records. Clinton's DOJ came after me for going against Hillarycare. This is the same disgusting corruption."¹¹

The pattern stretches back decades of Democrat administrations using federal agencies as political weapons.

Biden's IRS leaked Scott's tax returns.¹²

Clinton's DOJ went after him in the 1990s when he dared oppose Hillarycare.¹³

Same playbook. Different decade. Democrats never change.

Arctic Frost kicked off in 2022 with Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray's blessing.¹⁴

Three days. Trump announced his 2024 campaign on November 15, 2022, and Garland appointed Jack Smith as Special Counsel three days later.¹⁵

Coincidence? Not a chance.

This was always about destroying Trump and terrorizing anyone in his corner.

The investigation formed the backbone of Smith's prosecution of Trump on election interference charges that were later dismissed.¹⁶

Republicans demand full accountability for Biden's enemies list

Scott joined other Republican senators demanding Attorney General Pam Bondi launch a full investigation into what they called Biden's DOJ enemies list.¹⁷

Senator Ted Cruz labeled Arctic Frost "Biden's Watergate" and called for Judge Boasberg's impeachment.¹⁸

Texas Congressman Brandon Gill formally introduced articles of impeachment against Boasberg for his role approving the surveillance.¹⁹

Republicans argue the subpoenas violated the Speech and Debate Clause of the Constitution that protects lawmakers from law enforcement scrutiny of their legislative activities.²⁰

Federal law explicitly states that Senate offices cannot be prevented from learning about subpoenas seeking their official communications.²¹

Scott sent a letter to Bondi requesting a thorough investigation and asked her to refer findings to state bar associations for disbarment proceedings against Jack Smith.²²

He also urged Congress to assess whether impeachment proceedings should begin against Judge Boasberg.²³

The revelation that one entity targeted by Smith's 197 subpoenas didn't even exist at the time being investigated exposed the operation's political motives.²⁴

FBI Director Kash Patel fired agents involved in the surveillance after discovering hidden lockbox files documenting the spying operation.²⁵

Scott demanded answers about why Verizon complied with unconstitutional subpoenas while AT&T had the backbone to refuse them.²⁶

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan launched an investigation into how phone carriers handled the subpoenas and is demanding Smith testify behind closed doors.²⁷

Verizon announced it would implement new safeguards requiring senior leadership review before complying with any future congressional subpoenas.²⁸

Republicans united behind the message that everyone involved in Arctic Frost must face consequences for the gross abuse of power.

The scope of Biden's surveillance dragnet targeting Republicans makes Watergate look like amateur hour by comparison.
