Byron Donalds hit Kamala Harris with a nasty surprise in Miami that forced Florida Democrats to play defense

Kamala Harris thought she could fly under the radar with her book tour.

She was wrong about that.

And Byron Donalds hit Kamala Harris with a nasty surprise in Miami that forced Florida Democrats to play defense.

Kamala's reunion with the failed Biden-Harris agenda

Former Vice President Kamala Harris brought her national book tour to Miami promoting her memoir 107 Days about the 2024 presidential campaign she lost to Donald Trump.

The timing proved disastrous for Florida Democrats.

Byron Donalds' gubernatorial campaign seized the opportunity to hammer Harris' appearance and tie his Democrat opponents Jerry Demings and David Jolly to the failed Biden-Harris agenda.

"Kamala Harris and Joe Biden's policies devastated families with crushing inflation, open borders, and a radical agenda that weakened our country," Ryan Smith, chief strategist for the Donalds campaign, stated. "Now, Jerry Demings and David Jolly are fighting to bear the torch for the Democrats and their radical policies in Florida."¹

The campaign statement cut straight through Harris' attempt to rehabilitate her image through a book tour.

Donalds' team deployed Trump's successful campaign messaging against Harris and extended it directly to his Democrat opponents.

"Kamala Harris and Florida Democrats are for they/them. Byron Donalds is for you!" the campaign declared.²

Democrats get caught defending the indefensible

The Donalds campaign exposed the inconvenient reality facing Florida Democrats.

Harris remains deeply unpopular with Florida voters who rejected her economic policies and open border agenda.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings entered the race November 3 as the first major Democrat candidate.

Former GOP Congressman turned Democrat David Jolly filed to run earlier in the year.

Both Democrats now face the challenge of running in a state where Donald Trump crushed Harris 56.1% to 43.0% and Republicans outnumber Democrats by more than 1.3 million registered voters.³

The Donalds campaign specifically targeted Demings' record as Orlando police chief and Orange County mayor.

"As police chief, Demings pushed weak-on-crime policies. As Orange County Mayor, he refused to work with ICE to deport criminal illegals and pushed radical ideas like allowing grown men in girls' locker rooms and men to compete in girls' sports," the Donalds campaign alleged.⁴

Smith added the campaign's closing argument directly connecting Demings and Jolly to Harris and the Biden-Harris administration's failures.

"If it weren't for Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, his life-long friend, Jerry Demings' campaign would have a better starting position. But he owns their record like the rest of the Democrat Party and will go down in flames because of it," Smith stated.⁵

The campaign also went after Jolly's transformation from Republican to Democrat.

According to the campaign, Jolly stated Harris made him feel at "home" in the Democrat Party and has advocated for "sex-change operations for 'trans youth.'"⁶

The Harris albatross hangs around Democrats' necks

Harris' Miami appearance Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Adrienne Arsht Center gave Republicans exactly what they needed.

A fresh reminder to Florida voters about four years of crushing inflation, open borders, and failed Democrat policies.

The Donalds campaign accused Harris and Florida Democrats of failing to "take ownership for the affordability crisis she and Joe Biden created with high taxes and record inflation."⁷

Republicans have turned Harris' book tour into a political gift that keeps on giving.

Every stop provides another opportunity to spotlight the Biden-Harris administration's failures and remind voters why they rejected the Democrat agenda.

Florida Democrats face an impossible task defending policies voters already rejected while Harris barnstorms the country promoting a book about her failed campaign.

Donalds raised $22 million since entering the race in February and earned Trump's endorsement, making him the clear frontrunner.⁸

Demings and Jolly must now explain to Florida voters why they want to continue the same failed policies that drove inflation to 40-year highs, opened the southern border to millions of illegal aliens, and weakened America's standing in the world.

Good luck with that sales pitch.
