The radical Left loves playing dress-up as peaceful protesters.
But one law enforcement officer just pulled back the curtain.
And a deputy's blunt answer left Sunrise Movement protesters speechless.
Professional agitators blocked ICE facility entrance
The Sunrise Movement rolled into Miami-Dade County Saturday with their standard playbook.
Thirty-one activists wearing matching "ICE Kidnapped My Neighbor" shirts blocked the entrance to the Krome Detention Center.¹
They sat on the ground, chanted slogans, and forced vehicles to turn around at the gate.
Miami-Dade Sheriff's deputies gave multiple dispersal orders.
The protesters refused to move.
Deputies arrested all 31 for trespassing and charged them with obstruction.¹

One protester tried the usual routine for the cameras.
She claimed she was being arrested for "peacefully protesting the horrible treatment of human beings by ICE agents."
That's when the deputy delivered three words that cut through the performance.
"It's called obstruction. Obstruction of justice," the officer said.²
The video went viral because it exposed what everyone already knew.
These weren't concerned citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.
They were professional agitators deliberately breaking the law to shut down a federal facility.
Sunrise Movement has been getting arrested for years
This isn't the Sunrise Movement's first rodeo.
The organization started in 2018 staging sit-ins at Democrat offices to push the Green New Deal.
U.S. Capitol Police arrested 51 of them for occupying Nancy Pelosi's office.³
In December 2018, police arrested nearly 150 more during demonstrations at the Capitol.³
But the group has evolved beyond climate activism.
In September 2025, Sunrise Movement delegates voted to expand their mission to fighting what they call Trump's "authoritarianism."⁴
Executive director Aru Shiney-Ajay told The Intercept the group decided "it cannot continue to fight climate change without fighting Trump."⁴
Their new rhetoric got more extreme.

Sunrise Movement posted on social media that "ICE is a criminal organization that is terrifying everyday people on behalf of fascist billionaires."²
They demand ICE be abolished entirely and all detention facilities shut down.
The Krome protest was part of this expanded mission.
Protesters marched from another detention site dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz" through the Everglades to Krome.⁵
They carried photos of immigrants who died in ICE custody and demanded the facility be closed.⁵
Trump's border enforcement is working exactly as intended
The Sunrise Movement calls President Trump's immigration policies "aggressive deportation" and "kidnapping."
The American people call it enforcing the law.
Trump campaigned on securing the border and deporting illegal aliens who broke our laws to get here.
He won in a landslide.

The Krome Detention Center is Florida's largest immigration detention facility run by ICE.⁵
It houses illegal aliens awaiting deportation proceedings.
The Trump administration has increased enforcement across the board.
More illegal aliens are being detained, processed, and deported than under Biden's open borders disaster.
That's exactly what voters demanded when they elected Trump in November.
The Sunrise Movement protesters weren't trying to fix conditions at Krome.
They were trying to obstruct Trump's ability to enforce immigration law.
The deputy who arrested them said the quiet part out loud.
They weren't peacefully protesting.
They were obstructing justice.
Most of the arrested activists bonded out within hours and went right back to organizing their next disruption.
Only one remained in custody as of Monday.¹
But the video of that deputy's response will stick around much longer.
It reminded Americans what these so-called protests really are: coordinated attempts to prevent Trump from fulfilling his mandate.
The Sunrise Movement can dress it up however they want.
They can wear matching shirts and sing songs while blocking government facilities.
But when a deputy looks you in the eye and tells you it's obstruction of justice, the mask comes off.
