The Polk County Sheriff said three words that left this Florida man red-faced

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has seen it all during his decades in law enforcement.

But even he admits some arrests catch him off guard.

And the Polk County Sheriff said three words that left this Florida man red-faced.

Deputies Found Matthew Zaccarino In Red Lingerie At Construction Site

Matthew Zaccarino, 39, of Altamonte Springs, thought he was being clever when he pulled into a construction site on Ernie Caldwell Boulevard in Polk County around 1 a.m. on December 14.

Deputies spotted him sitting alone near his vehicle.

That's when things got weird.

Zaccarino was wearing a red lace bra with prosthetic silicone breasts and a G-string.

Sheriff Grady Judd described the scene during his Monday morning briefing with his trademark bluntness.

"We see this dude wearing a red lace bra, with prosthetic silicone breasts," Judd said.

"Then we notice he is wearing a G-string, showing off the boys. You know what I mean?"

Deputies ordered Zaccarino to stop moving.

He didn't listen.

Instead, he started taking off the undergarments and reached into his vehicle.

That's when deputies moved in and handcuffed him.

The Gun Under The Fake Breasts Changed Everything

What started as a bizarre trespassing call turned dangerous fast.

Deputies discovered a loaded handgun hidden under one of the silicone breast forms Zaccarino had discarded.

"You don't realize how dangerous these situations are, because under the prostheses we found a gun," Judd explained.

"So he was armed trespassing."

Zaccarino initially claimed he was heading to a costume party.

But when deputies asked where this party was supposedly happening, he went silent.

He refused to provide an address or name anyone who would be attending.

Sheriff Judd wasn't buying the costume party excuse for a second.

"Can you imagine? He's mad at us for trying to find out why he's wearing lace bras with guns and G-strings or G-somethings," Judd said.

Then Judd delivered three words that summed up the whole mess: "It was ugly."

"It was so ugly," he repeated for emphasis.

Florida Man Stories Never Disappoint

Zaccarino was charged with armed trespassing with a firearm, loitering or prowling, and resisting an officer without violence.

He posted $6,250 bail and was released from the Polk County Jail.

Sheriff Judd has built a reputation over his 20-plus years as Polk County's top cop for his colorful descriptions of criminals and his no-nonsense approach to law enforcement.

He's become something of a social media sensation with his morning briefings where he pulls no punches about the suspects his deputies arrest.

"A lace bra, a G-string and a hidden gun. Folks, you cannot make this up," Judd said.

The sheriff was right about that.

This incident joins the long list of head-scratching "Florida Man" stories that make national headlines for all the wrong reasons.

From alligator wrestling gone wrong to bizarre theft schemes, Florida seems to produce an endless supply of criminals who make spectacularly poor decisions.

Zaccarino's case stands out even by Florida standards.

Most criminals at least try to blend in when they're up to no good.

Showing up at a construction site in red lingerie with a gun hidden in fake breasts is the exact opposite of keeping a low profile.

Sheriff Judd made it clear this wasn't just another weird arrest — it was a potentially deadly situation that his deputies handled professionally despite the bizarre circumstances.

The fact that Zaccarino was armed turned what could have been a laugh into a serious threat to public safety.

And that's exactly why Judd called it what it was.

Ugly.
