47-year-old William Heath walked into a Gainesville McDonald's late Saturday night and decided three teenagers looking in his direction deserved a soda bath and an indecent display.
The man got so angry at the group seated in the dining area that he stormed over, started an argument, and threw his Dr. Pepper at them before retreating to the parking lot.
And a Florida man is facing 15 years in jail after he dropped his pants in a McDonald’s parking lot.
Man Faked Attack And Claimed Teenagers Assaulted Him
Heath threw his drink around 9 p.m. at the McDonald's on NW 13th Street, hitting two of the three teenagers with soda.
He walked outside and collapsed in a bush near the sidewalk.
The teenagers followed him to continue the argument, and Heath started claiming they'd punched him and shoved him into the bushes.
A witness sitting in her car watched the entire incident and told police the teens never initiated any physical contact.
Heath shouted obscenities about race and sexuality at the minors while lying in the bushes.
Exposed Himself To Minors While Cameras Rolled
Heath turned around, pulled down his pants, and exposed his buttocks to the group – one 17-year-old and two 15-year-olds.
He smacked his butt and rubbed his left butt cheek while facing the teenagers.
The teens captured the incident on video and provided it to law enforcement.
Police observed soda on seats, tables, and the floor inside the restaurant.
Florida Law Makes This A Serious Felony
Under Florida law, exposing yourself to someone under 16 isn't just indecent exposure – it's lewd and lascivious exhibition, a second-degree felony.
For adults over 18, the crime carries up to 15 years in prison per count.
Heath faces two counts of lewd exhibition plus two counts of simple battery for throwing the drink.
A conviction requires lifetime sex offender registration, affecting housing, employment, and where he can live near schools.
You don't have to touch a kid for this to be a sex crime – the law says exposing yourself in front of minors is enough.

He Confessed To Everything
Deputies read Heath his rights, and he admitted the whole thing – threw the drink, dropped his pants, all of it.
His explanation: he felt upset and insulted by the teenagers.
He's being held without bail pending a hearing on whether he stays locked up until trial.
The McDonald's had no surveillance footage because no manager was present – another late-night fast-food restaurant operating understaffed while teenagers gather with nowhere else to go.
Because Heath couldn't control himself, a stupid argument over teenagers looking at him turned into felony sex charges.
