Ronald Reagan has an airport. George H.W. Bush has an airport. John F. Kennedy has two.
Now Donald Trump has one too – and Florida just made it official.
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed HB 919 on Monday, and the moment it takes effect this July, every boarding pass printed for Palm Beach County will carry the name Donald J. Trump International Airport.
Florida Has Been Building Toward This for Months
This didn't happen in a vacuum.
Six months ago, DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet voted to gift a $66 million parcel of prime Miami real estate – right next to the iconic Freedom Tower on Biscayne Boulevard – to the foundation building Trump's presidential library.
Eric Trump called it "the greatest Presidential Library ever built, honoring the greatest President."
Now Florida has a Trump library site and a Trump airport – both within six months.
The airport bill passed the Republican-controlled Legislature with force: 81-30 in the House, 25-11 in the Senate, both along party lines.
Rep. Meg Weinberger, whose West Palm Beach district sits right next to the airport, celebrated the signing on X Monday.
"It's OFFICIAL!" she wrote. "This historic recognition celebrates a President who made Florida his home and saved our great Nation."
Trump lives at Mar-a-Lago, just miles from the airport.

He flies in and out of it constantly.
Renaming it isn't political theater – it reflects the reality that Palm Beach is the center of Trump's world and Trump is the center of Palm Beach's identity.
Democrats Complained About Process and Got Ignored Anyway
Rep. Lois Frankel called the bill "misguided and unfair," claiming Florida lawmakers pushed it through without enough "input."
Notice what she didn't say.
She didn't say Trump didn't earn it.
She didn't say Palm Beach isn't his home.
She complained about the process – the last refuge of people who lost the argument on the merits.
Florida Democrats also tried to block the Trump Organization from trademarking the airport name.
That amendment failed too.
The Left wanted a committee hearing. Florida Republicans gave them a signed bill. Moving on.
This Is What an America First State Looks Like
Presidential airport honors have been around since 1963, when New York renamed Idlewild after JFK within weeks of his assassination.
Reagan got his in 1998 – while he was still alive. George H.W. Bush got his in 1997, tied to Houston, where he lived for decades.
Every one of those airports reflects where that president actually put down roots and left a mark.
Trump's mark on Florida isn't subtle.
He moved his official residence to Mar-a-Lago. He ran two presidential campaigns anchored in the state. Florida delivered for him both times by massive margins.
DeSantis has been building this record systematically – presidential library land, airport naming rights, legislation locking in the names of every other major Florida airport so no future left-wing county commission can rename Miami International or Tampa International once Republicans aren't watching.

Every traveler flying into Palm Beach County – businessman, tourist, foreign dignitary – will land at Donald J. Trump International Airport.
That name will appear on tickets, baggage tags, websites, and gate screens millions of times a year.
Florida heard them.
And Florida acted.
