Florida Just Sent Ron DeSantis a Bill That Would Honor Two Men the Left Tried to Destroy

Jun 19, 2026

Charlie Kirk built a movement that sent the left into a frenzy for over a decade.

Now a Florida bill is sitting on Ron DeSantis' desk that would put Kirk's name on a Miami-Dade road – right next to Donald Trump's.

DeSantis has until June 30 to sign it and make sure the left never forgets what happens when they try to silence the right.

Florida Has Been Doing This All Year – and It's Working

DeSantis already signed SB 628 in April, designating the full 124-mile stretch of State Road 80 from Palm Beach County to Lee County as the "President Donald J. Trump Highway."

He signed HB 919 in March, renaming Palm Beach International Airport the "President Donald J. Trump International Airport."

Now HB 33 sits on his desk, passed as part of this year's legislative session.

If signed, a portion of Southwest 107th Avenue in Miami-Dade County becomes "Charlie Kirk Memorial Avenue" – running near Florida International University, a campus Kirk made famous as one of his debate battlegrounds.

Commercial Boulevard in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea becomes "President Donald J. Trump Boulevard."

Florida House Speaker Juan Carlos Porras filed the original bill the same month Kirk was murdered – September 23, 2025 – a direct response to the sniper who thought silencing Kirk would silence the movement.

The Left Killed the Man and Handed Him a Permanent Victory

This is what the left never understands.

Tyler Robinson drove three hours from his home in southern Utah on September 10, 2025, climbed a rooftop near an outdoor courtyard at Utah Valley University, and shot Charlie Kirk dead with a single bullet twenty minutes into his speech.

Six campus police officers were on duty. No drones monitored the rooftops. No metal detectors screened the crowd of more than 3,000.

Robinson is now facing the death penalty.

And Kirk – the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, the man who spent his entire career getting in leftists' faces on their own turf – is getting permanent road signs across Florida.

The killer wanted to erase him, and Florida is putting his name on the map.

Florida Just Taught Every Republican Legislature in America a Lesson

Ronald Reagan had hundreds of roads, schools, and airports named in his honor – but they came years after he left office, a polite posthumous thank-you from a party that waited to see how history settled.

Florida is not waiting.

And when DeSantis signs this, he isn't just honoring Kirk – he's sending a message to Republican governors in Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia that you don't have to wait for the left to stop calling your people dangerous before you put their names on a sign.

Democrats and their media allies spent years calling Kirk hateful and divisive – every label they use for any conservative who fights back effectively.

A Florida Republican legislature responded by naming a road after him while his accused killer is still awaiting trial.

That is a blueprint, not just a tribute.

When he signs it, every driver on Southwest 107th Avenue will pass under a sign bearing the name of a man a leftist tried to erase from the earth nine months ago.

The left never learns.

The movement Kirk built – the one that put millions of young conservatives into the political arena – outlived the bullet.

Now it gets a street sign in Miami.
