A 76-year-old man just beat a woman in the neck and chest with a metal flagpole outside Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach

Feb 18, 2026

The Left keeps telling you their protesters are peaceful.

But a White House press pool reporter watched the whole thing happen in real time.

And a 76-year-old man just beat a woman in the neck and chest with a metal flagpole outside Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach.

What Deputies Watched Happen

Paul Messer was standing across the street from Trump International Golf Course on Sunday carrying his "Not My President" flag when a woman in a Trump "47" hat told the protesters their signs were blocking her view.

That was enough.

Messer walked up to her and started swinging.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies – who were right there – watched him strike her multiple times in the upper chest and neck with the metal pole.

The woman stumbled backward.

She had visible redness on the right side of her neck.

Messer was booked by 2:40 in the afternoon.

By 7:40 that evening, he was back on the street.

Six hours.

A thousand-dollar bond.

One arraignment scheduled for March 10.

And that's it – that's the whole consequence for beating a woman with a metal weapon because she was wearing a Trump hat.

This Is the Same Crowd That Calls You a Threat to Democracy

The protesters weren't just waving "Not My President" signs on Sunday.

Their placards targeted ICE, the Justice Department's handling of the Epstein files, and Trump's Russia policy.

This is the coalition that lectures America about civility and democratic norms – and when a woman in a Trump hat asks them to move, their 76-year-old colleague grabs the metal pole and starts swinging.

The White House press pool was standing right there watching Trump's weekend.

They saw the whole thing.

The left's "peaceful protest" narrative collapsed in real time, with witnesses from every major news organization in the country watching a man beat a woman because she was wearing the wrong hat.

The Left's Violence Problem Isn't New – It's Accelerating

DHS documented a more than 1,000 percent increase in assaults against ICE officers in 2025 alone.

The White House has catalogued what happened: Antifa ambushed officers at an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, luring them outside and opening fire – one officer shot in the neck.

Rioters attacked federal agents in Portland.

Two children were killed at a Catholic church in Minnesota by someone whose manifesto included plans to kill Trump.

Charlie Kirk was gunned down by a shooter prosecutors say targeted him specifically for his political beliefs.

Tesla dealerships were firebombed.

Now a 76-year-old in West Palm Beach beats a woman with a metal pole because she complained about her view.

The people doing this aren't random.

They're energized by five years of being told by politicians, professors, and television anchors that Trump supporters aren't just wrong – they're evil, they're fascists, they're Nazis.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told people to fight the Trump agenda in the streets.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal called it "inspiring" to obstruct immigration enforcement.

Boston's mayor compared ICE to neo-Nazis.

You whip people into that kind of frenzy and then act surprised when a 76-year-old man starts beating women with metal poles.

The media will give Messer's story one news cycle and move on.

Trump was inside playing golf with Ron DeSantis, Nick Saban, and Urban Meyer.

The woman who was stumbling backward with redness on her neck will spend the next month waiting for an arraignment that may produce nothing.

That's the two Americas these protesters are building – one where you can assault someone for wearing the wrong hat and walk free by dinner, and one where the woman they attacked sits alone wondering what happened.
