Ron DeSantis is facing a vicious smear campaign from the Democrats and their pals in the corporate-controlled media over his pro-freedom agenda.
But he isn’t wavering.
And a bill just landed on Ron DeSantis’ desk that will protect children from being brainwashed.
Despite facing nasty attacks and smears from the Democrats and members of the corporate-controlled media on a daily basis, Ron DeSantis is continuing to push his pro-freedom agenda in Florida.
Over the last two weeks, the Republican-led State Legislature sent several bills to DeSantis’ desk that were a centerpiece of his agenda.
This includes a ban on abortions after 15 weeks, a bill prohibiting teaching gender and sexuality to children in pre-K through third grade, and also legislation that strengthens election integrity in Florida.
But on Thursday, on a straight Party-line vote, the Florida Senate sent a bill to Ron DeSantis’ desk that will put an end to woke ideologies such as Critical Race Theory in the Sunshine State.
Of course, it’s no secret that the Left’s woke ideology has infected every major institution in America.
But one of the most dangerous places the Left is pushing their woke ideology is in schools and classrooms all across America, where children are being brainwashed with Marxist-based Critical Race Theory.
That’s why DeSantis urged the Republican-led legislature to pass the Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees (WOKE) Act, which gives “businesses, employees, children and families tools to fight back against woke indoctrination.”
The bill reads in part, “A person should not be instructed that he or she must feel guilt, anguish, or other forms of psychological distress for actions, in which he or she played no part, committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex.”
But the legislation does more than just ban Critical Race Theory in classrooms.
The legislation also applies to the workplace, providing “employees, parents and students a private right of action.”
“We believe that this corporate CRT, it’s basically corporate-sanctioned racism, and they’re trying to shove it down these employees’ throats, we believe that that violates the Florida civil rights laws,” DeSantis said.
“Finally, we must protect Florida workers against the hostile work environment that is created when large corporations force their employees to endure CRT-inspired ‘training’ and indoctrination,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis already enjoys rock star status among Republican voters nationwide, with polls showing him as the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination if Donald Trump decides not to run for re-election again in 2024.
Before he can think about a potential White House run, DeSantis must first win his own Gubernatorial re-election this fall.
But with DeSantis standing up for the rights of Floridians, he is expected to cruise to an easy victory in November.
