Ron DeSantis is the most Pro-Life candidate running for President.
But the political establishment on both sides is targeting his credentials hoping to knock him down.
And a bogus attack on DeSantis’ bonafide Pro-Life credentials from so-called “Pro-Life” leaders will leave you steaming mad.
DeSantis’ Pro-Life credentials crush Trump’s facade
Ron DeSantis doesn’t just talk about being Pro-Life – he takes action to back up his Pro-Life beliefs.
In Florida, DeSantis boldly signed The Heartbeat Act into law without hesitation as he believes every life is worth protecting.
When Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds did the same, DeSantis cheered on yet another win for unborn babies.
But when Donald Trump was asked about the Pro-Life bill – he claimed DeSantis bill was “too harsh” . . .
. . . as if saving babies has limitations.
And while Trump has had some wins for the Pro-Life movement in the past – his current lukewarm and wishy-washy stance for life continues to alienate Pro-Life voters.
The establishment tried to smear DeSantis with this quote
During a Megyn Kelly interview, DeSantis was asked if he would implement a similar Heartbeat Act at the federal level.
DeSantis reiterated his Pro-Life credentials and listed all the Pro-Life policies he’d implement as President.
“I’ve been a Pro-Life Governor, I’ll be a Pro-Life President and I’ll come down on the side of life,” DeSantis said.
“We are running on doing things I know I can accomplish; we’re going to end the abortion tourism that is in the military, it’s an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars, no funding for abortion, we’re gonna ensure that the Supreme Court remains so that Dobbs is not overturned, and I’m gonna be a leader with the bully pulpit to help local communities and states advance the cause of life,” continued DeSantis.
“But I really believe right now in our society, it’s really a bottom-up movement, and that’s where we’ve had most success, Iowa, South Carolina, Florida, and I think you’re gonna continue to see a lot of good battles there,” DeSantis told Kelly.
“So you’re not in support of a federal law?” Kelly asked DeSantis.
“I’ll always come down on the side of life, and I’m proud to be Pro-Life, and I’ll be a Pro-Life President,” replied DeSantis.
The Pro-Life establishment targets DeSantis
While it’s clear as day DeSantis has not wavered on his Pro-Life credentials, and has vowed to be a Pro-Life President – Susan B. Anthony Pro-life America (SBA) released a blistering press release calling out DeSantis.
SBA President Marjorie Dannenfelser wrote “Gov. DeSantis’s dismissal of this task is unacceptable to Pro-Life voters.”
She continued with her bogus attack “A consensus is already formed. Intensity for it is palpable and measurable. There are many pressing legislative issues for which Congress does not have the votes at the moment, but that is not a reason for a strong leader to back away from the fight. This is where Presidential leadership matters most.”
“While 25 states have enacted laws to protect unborn children in this new era, the remaining 25 states offer few to no protections. These states account for at least 600,000 or two-thirds of abortions annually. These unborn children and their mothers deserve to be served and need an advocate in the White House who will work tirelessly to protect them,” Dannenfelser said.
Did Dannenfelser forget DeSantis is Governor of one of those 25 states that protects unborn babies!?!
Even more insulting, Dannenfelser has publicly praised Donald Trump for his “Pro-Life” stand, stating she had a “terrific meeting” with him because he reiterated his Pro-Life positions.
DeSantis has pledged to be a Pro-Life President, and his past history shows he means what he says.
The establishment can take their cheap shots all day long – but it won’t erase DeSantis’ Pro-Life credentials, which are above reproach.
