A Florida Democrat demands that people threaten Congress over deportations
Tensions are boiling over among Democrats over President Donald Trump’s plan for the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
Democrat members of Congress are taking increasingly extreme actions to placate the party’s unhinged base.
Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) toured the Krome Detention Center in Miami, Florida, where Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is detaining illegal aliens waiting to be deported.
The 82-year-old lawmaker held an impromptu press conference in a ditch outside the facility where she went on a rant while wearing a pink cowboy hat and pantsuit.

Wilson warned that a tent city would be built at the Krome Detention Center to house the growing number of illegal aliens in federal custody.
She claimed that the Laken Riley Act, which was signed by Trump in January, led to the mass arrest of illegal aliens.
The law, named after a Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal alien last year, requires that illegal aliens be detained by local enforcement for theft-related charges.
Wilson said that illegal aliens were being arrested for jaywalking and “walking across the street.”
“The Laken Riley Act has caused an increase in detainees, and these are people who have … you could have been here forever,” Wilson ranted.
She urged that people take action to fight the Trump administration’s agenda.
A mass uprising in the streets to stop deportations
The Democrat base is rewarding the most obvious and over-the-top members of Congress who are pushing back against Trump with donations and praise.
Wilson called on voters to threaten Republicans in Congress to stop mass deportations.
“So I’ve been giving out the phone numbers to the House of Representatives and to the Senate,” Wilson raved. “It’s one number that number you call and you threaten it, and you say, ‘This is wrong. This is not America. This is not what we stand for. We need a change.’ You have to do that. It’s going to take the people. We’ve done it.”
The Florida lawmaker claimed without evidence that the people she saw in the detention center were hardworking men and women, not criminals.
“We need the people. We needed an uprising where people are taking to the streets and the phones, and writing letters. That’s what we need,” Wilson told reporters.
She pushed a baseless conspiracy theory that the Krome Detention Center was hiding the real conditions at the facility from her.
“I am positive that they took people out today, so I wouldn’t see [the overcrowding],” Wilson claimed. “It was like somebody went in there yesterday and put on a whole new coat of fresh paint . . . you could even smell the paint.”
The Democrat base is foaming at the mouth over Trump’s agenda during his second term.
