Police have seen some bizarre behavior over the years.
But nothing quite prepares you for what happens during the holidays.
And a Florida man celebrated Christmas in one way that left police shaking their heads.
Nude Burglar Strikes Two Luxury Homes On Christmas Night
Vladimir Demidovich had quite a Christmas celebration planned for himself.
The 26-year-old from Hallandale Beach, Florida allegedly decided to spend his Christmas Eve breaking into not one, but two luxury mansions in Golden Beach.
And he did it completely naked.
Officers responded to reports of a "naked white male" at a $12 million Ocean Boulevard mansion around 9:45 p.m. on Christmas night.¹
They discovered Demidovich hiding in the garage.
Without a stitch of clothing on his body.
But here's where the story gets even stranger.
Demidovich told the officers his clothes were at another house nearby.
And sure enough, when police went to check out the second mansion, they found his clothes on the second floor.
That home has a market value of more than $37 million according to Miami-Dade property records.²
Police also discovered the place was "disturbed" with drinks consumed and his clothing scattered around upstairs.
Both burglaries occurred in the 100 block of Ocean Boulevard, about 600 feet from the Golden Beach police station.³
The audacity of breaking into two multimillion-dollar homes practically next door to law enforcement headquarters is mind-boggling.
Demidovich Had A History Of Bad Behavior
This wasn't Demidovich's first run-in with the law.
He was out on felony bond from a previous criminal mischief case from June when police arrested him on Christmas.⁴
In that earlier incident, Demidovich entered the Ocean Reserve Condominium in Sunny Isles Beach claiming he was looking for his girlfriend and had been in a car crash.
Police said the "unruly" Demidovich pushed over a large mirror in the lobby and shattered it, leading to his arrest on felony charges.⁵
The fact that he was out on bond and allegedly committed these burglaries shows the revolving door of criminal justice that plagues Democrat-run cities across Florida.
Demidovich told officers he "consumed beverages" in both homes and "demonstrated intent to commit theft."
Police charged him with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and criminal mischief.
He's being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
A judge set his bond at $15,000 during his court appearance.⁶
That's barely a slap on the wrist for someone who broke into $49 million worth of property while naked and drinking the homeowners' alcohol.
This is what happens when the justice system goes soft on criminals.
Demidovich was already facing felony charges and out on bond.
He should have been behind bars, not prowling through luxury homes on Christmas night.
Instead, Democrat judges let career criminals like him roam free until they inevitably commit more crimes.
Golden Beach is one of the wealthiest communities in South Florida with a population of less than 1,000 residents.
The town recorded zero violent crimes in recent years and has an exceptionally low property crime rate.⁷
But even in these secure, gated communities, criminals find ways to strike when law enforcement policies favor the accused over the victims.
The homeowners returned from Christmas celebrations to find their properties violated by a naked intruder who helped himself to their liquor and planned to steal their belongings.
That's the Christmas memory these families will carry with them forever thanks to one Florida man's bizarre criminal spree.
