The radical Left has declared war on federal law enforcement.
Their violent rhetoric is inspiring real-world attacks.
And a Florida man crossed one line with ICE that sent him straight to federal custody.
Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration has driven the radical left insane.
These people spent years calling for open borders and sanctuary cities.
Now ICE agents enforcing the law face unprecedented violence from leftist extremists inspired by Democrat politicians comparing them to Nazis.
Homeland Security Investigations special agents in Fort Myers arrested Joseph Giancola for allegedly posting death threats against ICE officers on social media.¹
Giancola used the leftist social media platform Bluesky under the fake name "Cain Delon" to post his violent threats.²
The posts paint a picture of someone radicalized by years of Democrats demonizing federal law enforcement.
Death threats on social media exposed disturbing pattern
"Shoot the ICE Nazis down like the rabid dogs they are," one post read.³
Another demanded people "just get a gun and shoot the ICE Nazis down."⁴
"Start by shooting ice thugs dead," another post allegedly stated.⁵
"They come near me, and I shoot to kill. Be warned," Giancola allegedly wrote.⁶
The threats didn't stop there.
"Get out your guns and shoot them down" appeared in yet another post.⁷
Someone this radicalized doesn't develop these views in a vacuum.
For months, Democrat politicians have been comparing ICE agents to the Nazi Gestapo and calling them slave patrols.
Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) compared ICE to "slave patrols."
Governor Tim Walz called them the "modern-day Gestapo."
Governor JB Pritzker claimed America is becoming "Nazi Germany" because ICE is "grabbing people off the street."
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for people to "fight" the Trump administration "in the streets" and declared ICE agents would be unsuccessful in protecting their identities "no matter what it takes."
This rhetoric has consequences.
ICE officers now face an 8,000% increase in death threats and a more than 1,000% increase in assaults.⁸
That's not a typo.
Death threats against ICE agents exploded by 8,000% since Trump took office and started enforcing immigration law.
Democrat rhetoric fueling unprecedented violence
The pattern is clear as day.
After Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10, violent leftists ramped up their attacks on federal law enforcement across the country.
In Dallas, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn opened fire on an ICE facility on September 24, killing one detainee and wounding two others before killing himself.
FBI Director Kash Patel said Jahn searched for videos of Kirk's assassination and used apps tracking ICE agents.
Shell casings at the scene had "ANTI-ICE" written on them.
A handwritten note said, "Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror."
On July 4, armed attackers ambushed an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, opening fire and shooting one officer in the neck.
That same day, rioters viciously assaulted federal agents at an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon.
Officers were kicked, punched, and targeted with an incendiary device.
In Texas, an ICE officer's spouse received a threatening phone call.
The caller repeatedly cursed before saying, "Did you hear what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because it's what's going to happen to your family."⁹
Eduardo Aguilar, a Mexican national living illegally in Dallas, was arrested for posting a TikTok video offering $10,000 bounties for murdering ICE agents.¹⁰
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin didn't mince words about who bears responsibility.
"This cowardly individual made repeated disgusting death threats against ICE law enforcement officers," McLaughlin said of Giancola's arrest. "He is now in federal custody and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."¹¹

She pointed directly at the source of the problem.
"From bounties placed on their heads for their murders, threats to their families, stalking, and doxxing online, our officers are experiencing an unprecedented level of violence and threats against them and their families," McLaughlin explained.¹²
"Comparing ICE day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences," DHS said in a statement. "Like everyone else, America's ICE and CBP agents are hardworking men and women who have families and are real people. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop."¹³
President Trump has repeatedly called out Democrats for their dangerous rhetoric.
Vice President JD Vance put it bluntly after the Dallas shooting.
"If you want to stop political violence, stop attacking our law enforcement as the Gestapo. If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with you is a Nazi," Vance said.
Democrats refuse to tone down their incendiary language.
They're more interested in resisting Trump than protecting federal law enforcement officers risking their lives to secure the border and remove violent criminals from American communities.
Giancola's arrest sends a message that threatening federal officers has consequences.
But one arrest won't stop the violence as long as Democrat politicians keep comparing ICE agents to Nazis and inspiring their radical base to attack them.
