Law and order reign supreme in Florida.
The Sunshine State’s law enforcement wants to get behind the new administration in Washington.
And a Florida sheriff had one tough message that sent Democrats into the depths of despair.
Florida sheriff tells illegal aliens to self deport ahead of Trump’s crackdown
The Trump administration hit the ground running on the President’s plan for the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
One state wanted to pitch in to help.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called for a special session of the State Legislature to pass legislation so the state could do more to assist the Trump administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens.
One of the goals of DeSantis was to get more funding for local law enforcement for the effort.
He said that sheriffs are “chomping at the bit” to help carry out Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd had a blunt warning for illegal aliens during a press conference with DeSantis and state officials in Winter Haven.
“And I leave with this message: ‘Southbound and down.’ Do it yourself,” Judd said. “You can self-deport and avoid a lot of prison sentence, but it’s time. Southbound and down.”
Deporting illegal aliens will reduce crime
Sheriff Judd said that he has seen illegal aliens in his county commit a laundry list of crimes including DUI, rape, murder, manslaughter, and organized retail theft.
“Our criminal justice system holds them accountable, but the federal government lets them into your neighborhood to rob, pillage, steal, rape, and murder,” Judd stated. “It’s time for Florida to lead the charge in removing these criminals from our communities.”
These illegal alien criminals shatter the lives of families.
“None of these people should have been here to create these tragedies,” Judd said. “These aren’t just statistics; these are lives lost and families destroyed.”
“Florida needs to set the example for the other states and support the President [Trump] to get rid of these criminals who are victimizing our people,” Judd added.
DeSantis vowed that his state would be a part of the solution to clean up the mess left behind by former President Joe Biden.
“We in Florida have a sense of urgency to accomplish this mission,” DeSantis said. “The mission is very simple: We need to end the illegal immigration crisis once and for all in these United States of America.”
Florida frequently took the Biden administration to court over its refusal to secure the southern border.
The state is not taking its foot off the gas on stopping the illegal immigration crisis.
“There’s been no issue that has been higher on the radar,” DeSantis added. “We need all hands on deck.”
Judd praised DeSantis for his leadership on the issue.
“Our Governor is a leader who is saying, ‘Enough is enough,’” Judd explained. “The people of Florida and the United States elected Donald Trump because he promised to fix illegal immigration, and our Governor is ensuring Florida sets the example.”
He urged the Trump administration and the Florida Legislature to take the handcuffs off law enforcement by getting rid of “woke Left” policies.
Judd pointed to gender identity policies for illegal aliens who are detained and medical checkups.
“We need to cut through the nonsense and let law enforcement do what we do best—protecting our communities,” Judd said.
