Charlie Kirk was assassinated, two men tried to take out Donald Trump., and now someone just threatened to bomb Byron Donalds' office and harm law enforcement.
This is the political Left in 2026.
But a Florida sheriff just arrested the man who made the call – and what's on this guy's record will tell you everything you need to know about who's making these threats.
The Call That Led Straight to His Front Door
Daniel Eberly, 43, of Cape Coral called Donalds' office Monday and threatened to "blow up headquarters and shoot every cop."
Donalds and his staff reported it immediately.
Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno put it bluntly: "Frankly, that phone call was an investigative equivalent of a self-addressed, stamped envelope."
Detectives showed up at Eberly's home and arrested him on charges of filing a false report of a weapon of mass destruction and corrupting by threat of a public servant or family member.
This wasn't his first time.
Eberly was arrested in 2023 for threatening to harm a law enforcement officer.
He's also been charged with arson, burglary, drug possession, and trespassing.
This is not a first-time offender who snapped under political pressure.
This is a career criminal who picked up the phone and dialed a congressman's office.
Byron Donalds Is Being Targeted Because He's Winning
Donalds isn't just a Florida congressman anymore – he's Trump's endorsed candidate for governor, and the left cannot stand it.
One week before Eberly's call, a Port Charlotte man named Dominic Ambrosia saw Trump's endorsement post on X and replied with five words: "I'm going to kill him!"
Ambrosia had been out of jail for six weeks at that point – released after serving time for aggravated stalking.
Six weeks of freedom and he was already posting murder threats against a gubernatorial candidate.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna responded immediately: "Death threats and threats of violence should never be tolerated in politics. I look forward to the individual that made these threats being prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
Two separate men threatening to kill Byron Donalds in eight days.
This is not a coincidence – it's a pattern.
The Left's Threat Machine Is Running at Record Speed
Capitol Police investigated nearly 15,000 threat cases against members of Congress in 2025 – a 57 percent jump from 2024, which itself was a record year.
Three years ago, that number was 7,501.
It has nearly doubled.
Sheriff Marceno delivered the message these people need to hear: "To anyone who believes that they can threaten our community from behind a phone, behind a keyboard, or from the shadows, hear me clearly – you are not anonymous. You are not beyond our reach, and you're not getting away with it."
Eberly found that out the hard way.
So did Ambrosia.
Here's what the media won't tell you: the left spent years screaming about threats to democracy, and the entire time the actual physical threats were landing on Republican desks.

AOC vowed to "blow this place up."
Jasmine Crockett said Republicans needed to be "knocked over the head, like hard."
Hakeem Jeffries told Americans to "fight" Trump's agenda "in the streets."
Illinois Governor Pritzker told a crowd that Republicans "cannot know a moment of peace."
Then someone called Byron Donalds' office and threatened to destroy it and harm every cop.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt named the connection directly after the most recent Trump assassination attempt: "The left-wing cult of hatred against the president and all of those who support him and work for him has gotten multiple people hurt and killed."
She was talking about Trump.
The same machine just targeted Donalds – twice in eight days.
Two men are in handcuffs right now because Florida law enforcement refused to look the other way.
The next Democrat who goes on television and calls a Republican a fascist, a tyrant, or a threat to democracy needs to be asked one question: which part of that didn't Daniel Eberly understand?
