Another assassination attempt was made against Donald Trump.
Law enforcement is trying to figure out how this happened.
And a Florida sheriff stumbled upon one scary detail about the Trump assassination attempt.
A bigger conspiracy could be happening against Donald Trump
Former President Donald Trump faced another assassination attempt more than two months after he was shot at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58-years-old, hid in the bushes near the fence along the sixth hole of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida with a scoped rifled.
Secret Service agents scouting ahead discovered Routh’s rifle sticking through the chain-link fence and opened fire on him.
Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office arrested him on I-95 after he fled from the golf club.
Routh is a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris and echoed Democrat claims that Trump is a threat to democracy.
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder wondered if Routh was a part of a larger conspiracy against Trump.
The would-be assassin had no ties to Florida so it raised eyebrows how he could have known that Trump was going to be playing golf that day.
“To my knowledge, he does not have any ties to Martin County. I think what we’re finding out is he is not from this area, which raises a bigger question,” Synder said. “How does a guy from not here get all the way to Trump International, realize that the president, former president of the United States, is golfing, and is able to get a rifle in that vicinity?”
Routh reportedly most recently lived in Hawaii and had traveled overseas because he was allegedly involved in aiding Ukraine in the country’s war effort against Russia.
“I think that’s the question the FBI and Secret Service are laser-focused on today,” Snyder explained. “Is this guy part of a conspiracy, or is he a lone gunman? If he is a lone gunman, President Trump is that much safer because we have him. But if he is part of a conspiracy, this whole thing really takes on a very ominous tone.”
The sheriff said that a good Samaritan took pictures of Routh’s vehicle which allowed them to apprehend him.
“He may have thought he got away with it,” Snyder said. “Of course, he couldn’t have known there was a witness who really did the right thing and took a picture of him, took a picture of the tag. He was just going to drive himself back to wherever he came from.”
One big question hangs over the investigation
It was not public knowledge that Trump was going to play golf on the day that Routh set up a sniper’s nest to assassinate him.
Trump made a last-minute decision to play golf that day.
But Routh was ready and waiting for him as he played through the course.
That raises serious questions about how he knew that was the day to do it and avoid detection carrying a rifle.
Ryan Wesley Routh was either very lucky or someone tipped him that Trump was going to be hitting the links.
