A Florida teen was sent to prison over this awful crime for social media clout

Jan 16, 2025

Some teenagers are willing to do anything to get attention on social media.

That can lead to tragic situations where common sense is cast aside.

And a Florida teen was sent to prison over this awful crime while attempting to gain social media clout.

Florida TikTok star’s need for speed costs him

Noah Galle, a 20-year-old, was known for posting videos to TikTok and Instagram of him speeding in the BMW that his parents bought him.

The Wellington, Florida resident used the handle “M5.Noah” online in reference to the BMW M5 sports sedan he had.

A BMW M5 costs more than $120,000 and can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds.

It is not exactly a smart choice for a teenager with a need for speed.

Galle would hold contests where he would pay his social media followers if they could correctly guess how fast he was going in the videos of him speeding.

The social media influencer got up to 182 mph in one of the videos he posted.

His lead foot shattered the lives of six families.

Galle was 17 years old when he was driving 151 mph on U.S. Route 441 when he plowed into the back of a Nissan Rogue SUV carrying six farm workers commuting home.

Mirlaine Julceus, Filaine Dieu, Vanice Percina, Remize Michel, Marie M. Louis, and Saint L. Michel lost their lives after they were rear-ended.

Galle received a minor ankle injury in the crash.

Police smelled alcohol on Galle and claimed that he slurred his words after the accident.

But tests revealed that he did not have any drugs or alcohol in his system.

Florida TikTok star sentenced over a deadly accident

Galle pled guilty to the deaths of the six farmworkers as part of a deal with Palm Beach County prosecutors.

He will spend 12 and half years in prison for six counts of vehicular homicide.

After release, Galle will be required to complete 800 hours of community service.

His driver’s license will be suspended for three years, and he will be required to take a defensive driving class to get it back.

The deal also requires him to post a video to social media explaining the need for safe driving.

Galle could have received a minimum of 55 years in prison if the case had gone to trial with a maximum of 90 years in prison.

He did not speak at his sentencing but his attorney Liz Parker read a statement on his behalf.

“There’s not a day goes by that Noah doesn’t think about his actions and what impact they have had on so many lives,” Parker read. “He wishes every day that he had died in the accident and not the victims.”

Florida criminal defense attorney Aaron Wayt told Fox News that the sentence from the plea deal and sentence was standard for a vehicular homicide case.

“In Florida, sentences for vehicular homicide cases have a wide range depending on the unique circumstances of each case,” Wayt said.

“A 12-year prison sentence is within that range,” Wayt continued. “When cases resolve like this one did with a plea, prosecutors and defense attorneys work together to balance accountability with fairness. Occasionally, that can result in a plea deal that appears lenient to the public but is consistent with the specific facts of the case and how prior cases have been resolved.”
