A grand jury verdict forced Ron DeSantis to take one action that has all hell breaking loose

Florida politics is never dull.

That became apparent once again.

And a grand jury verdict forced Ron DeSantis to take one action that has all hell breaking loose.

A grand jury in Florida released a 122 page report about the failures of the Broward County School board in the 2018 tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Back in February 2018 a deranged madman murdered 17 innocents after local police and school board officials failed at their jobs.

Governor DeSantis announced that at the recommendation of the grand jury he was suspending four Broward County School board members.

“It is my duty to suspend people from office when there is clear evidence of incompetence, neglect of duty, misfeasance or malfeasance,” DeSantis stated.

Governor DeSantis suspended Patricia Good, Donna Korn, Ann Murray and Laurie Rich Levinson – all Democrats – from the board.

Levinson ranted and raved that a Governor simply following the recommendation of an impartial grand jury amounted to fascism descending on America.

“This is all about political retribution for not firing Superintendent Runcie. It’s about blaming the Superintendent, and any school board members who supported him, for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting. All four board members were elected by the people multiple times, including post tragedy. My heart will always go out to all the families and community,” Levinson whined.

Levinson falsely claimed this suspension was linked to DeSantis’ successful effort to elect school board candidates that will implement Florida policies to ban wokeism, Critical Race Theory, and grooming children into transgenderism from Florida schools.

“Because you may disagree on local policy decisions is not a reason to remove someone from elected office . . . This action is authoritarian-like and has no place in the United States of America where the voters decide who represents them,” Levinson continued.

Interestingly enough, but admitting that DeSantis disagreed with the policies of the Broward County school board Levinson confirmed that the board allowed wokeism, Critical Race Theory and grooming to enter the classroom.

But this case was cut and dried.

The grand jury found the school board’s negligence back in 2018 cost lives as the report detailed how investigators “found a safety-related alarm,” which might have saved lives at the high school in Parkland “was and is such a low priority that it remains uninstalled at multiple schools.”

And the grand jury report reported “students continue to be educated in unsafe, aging, decrepit, moldy buildings that were supposed to have been renovated years ago.”

Ron DeSantis made education a central issue of his governorship.

And DeSantis will take any action necessary to ensure a safe learning environment where parents and students’ rights are protected.
