SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have become the biggest targets for Democrats next to President Donald Trump.
DOGE is exposing the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government’s budget.
Democrats and their media allies are ramping up the fearmongering about government cuts.
The media claims that planes will crash, children will starve, and farmers will go bankrupt if Trump fires federal employees and cuts spending.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) told voters that DOGE was fighting for them during an appearance on Fox Business Network’s Kudlow.
Host Larry Kudlow pointed to an allegedly controversial statement that Musk made when he interviewed him.
“That [entitlement spending] is also a mechanism by which the Democrats attract and retain illegal immigrants by essentially paying them to come here and then turning them into voters. Yes. So, this is why the Democrats are so upset about the situation,” Musk said.
Kudlow asked Luna if Musk was correct in his assessment.
She agreed and added that Democrats were muddying the waters about what DOGE was doing.
“There is also this unfair messaging, and I would argue, even lies from the Democrat Party platform that is trying to paint what DOGE is doing, what this administration, and what the Republican governing body is doing as cuts,” Luna said. “In actuality, we are looking for savings and also to get rid of that fraud, waste, and abuse.”
Democrats are looking to get people hooked on government
Luna argued that Democrats wanted to get people dependent on handouts from the government.
“I would also ask this question: If the American people or the Democrats genuinely believe that access to the welfare system and pushing people into that system is somehow the American Dream, having grown up in that, I would tell you that it is exactly the opposite,” Luna explained. “It is actually very hard to leave that system once you are involved in it.”
Trump has said that Musk’s work with DOGE will not affect Social Security benefits.
Musk argued that the program is rife with fraud and abuse.
Luna pointed to disturbing Social Security fraud that DOGE has already uncovered.
“The people that genuinely deserve [Social Security] that have paid into these programs, they are the ones that are going to suffer the most when you do have Social Security checks, for example, that were discovered being sent to Ukraine, or Social Security checks that were being sent to people that are 350 years old,” Luna stated. “That is not normal, nor should it be acceptable.”
She told the American people to tune out the noise about DOGE coming from the Left.
“But I will also follow up in saying this,” Luna said. “We are ultimately here to serve the American people. That is exactly what we are doing. I can assure the American people, specifically the older people that are on fixed incomes, that we are fighting for you, so do not pay attention to a lot of the propaganda that you’re hearing out of the Left. That is simply not the case, and we will prove it to you.”
Democrats are furious over DOGE because it is over the target of government waste and corruption.
