In September, Ron DeSantis nominated Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo to serve as the next Surgeon General of Florida.
Ladapo enthusiastically supported the Governor’s pro-freedom policies during the pandemic.
And Anthony Fauci just received some bad news about Ron DeSantis’ pick for Florida’s Surgeon General.
Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci, the Fake News Media, and other COVID tyrants tried to use Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a political punching bag throughout the entire pandemic.
They despised DeSantis’ pro-freedom policies, such as keeping businesses and schools open, banning mask and vaccine mandates, and promoting the use of life-saving monoclonal antibodies as an effective early treatment against COVID.
However, DeSantis ignored their attacks, and pushed forward with his pro-freedom agenda.
As a result, Florida’s economy boomed last year.
Not only did a record-breaking 118 million people visit the Sunshine State last year, totaling $17.3 billion in revenue for the hotel industry, but Florida also led the nation in new business creation.
And DeSantis just dealt another blow to the COVID tyrants on Wednesday when the Republican-led Senate confirmed Dr. Ladapo on a straight Party-line vote.
During his September nomination, Dr. Ladapo declared Biden and Fauci’s COVID policies as nothing more than scare tactics.
“We are done with fear,” Ladapo said. “That is something that, unfortunately, has been a center point of health policy here in the United States since the start of the pandemic. It’s over here.”
This infuriated the Left, and during Ladapo’s January Committee hearing, the Democrats walked out and abstained from voting to show how much they opposed his confirmation.
Of course, COVID tyrants like Biden and Fauci despise anyone who doesn’t repeat their phony narrative line-by-line.
Dr. Ladapo previously questioned the efficacy of COVID vaccines and vehemently denounced mandates, encouraging Floridians to “stick with their intuition” when deciding whether or not to get vaccinated.
Ladapo also questioned the efficacy of wearing a face mask, while also promoting treatments such as hydroxychloroquine.
“Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo has come out strongly against mask mandates and lockdowns, only supports vaccination campaigns if the shots are voluntary and will not say whether he himself has been vaccinated,” The New York Times wrote about Ladapo.
But Ron DeSantis never backed down from supporting his nominee.
“Telling the truth, I think, is important, and I think that’s what Dr. Ladapo understands,” DeSantis said. “You’ve got to tell people the truth, and you’ve got to let them make decisions.”
And now, after Senate Republicans voted to confirm Ladapo, DeSantis scored yet another victory over the COVID tyrants in Florida’s new pro-freedom Surgeon General.
