Anthony Fauci retired in December and gave up his role as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
But retirement has not stopped Fauci from lecturing Americans about COVID.
And Anthony Fauci said two words about the COVID lockdowns that proved the importance of electing Ron DeSantis as President.
Dr. Anthony Fauci became the face of the pandemic when Donald Trump put him in charge of his administration’s COVID response back in March of 2020.
Since Fauci had served in his position at NIAID since 1984, Donald Trump thought he could trust Fauci to make the best decisions to get America through the pandemic.
But that turned out to be a big mistake on Trump’s part, as Fauci spent the next two years lying to the American people on a number of issues.
Fauci lied about herd immunity, he lied about masks, he repeatedly lied about vaccines, and he lied under oath when Rand Paul asked him if the NIH ever funded gain-of-function research on his watch.
Of course, Fauci has yet to face any accountability for his multitude of lies.
Republicans promised to hold him accountable if they regained the majority in last year’s Midterms, but Fauci retired in December before the new GOP majority took over the House.
Instead of being held accountable, Anthony Fauci is holding virtual events with universities called “Pandemic Lessons and Role of Faculty in Pandemic Preparedness with Dr. Anthony Fauci.”
During one of his recent events, a professor at Wayne State University asked Fauci about what he learned from his time overseeing a “pandemic response.”
Fauci defended his tyrannical lockdowns and mandates.
“You had to have something to immediately shut down the tsunami of infection,” he said, before claiming that the “lockdown was absolutely justified.”
Fauci said the lockdowns served a major “purpose.”
“One of the purposes, if you don’t have a vaccine, it’s to get more ventilators, get the hospitals better prepared until you decompress the pressure on the hospitals,” he said.
He then floated the idea of lockdowns in order to force the public to get vaccinated.
“If you have a vaccine available, you might want to lock down temporarily so you can get everybody vaccinated,” he said.
The DeSantis War Room blasted Anthony Fauci on social media and pointed out why his recent comments show the importance of electing Ron DeSantis.
“FAUCI, last week: The lockdowns were ‘absolutely justified,’” the War Room wrote. “If given the chance, they will lock us down again.”
“@RonDeSantis will never let that happen,” the War Room concluded.
