Attorneys for Ron DeSantis responded to Disney’s lawsuit with three words that left company executives in panic mode

Ron DeSantis has been at war with Disney ever since company executives tried to kill the Parental Rights in Education Bill back in early 2022.

Disney recently filed a lawsuit accusing DeSantis of political retaliation against the company.

But attorneys for Ron DeSantis responded to Disney’s lawsuit with three words that left company executives in panic mode.

During his State of the State Address two years ago, Ron DeSantis promised to make 2022 “the year of the parent” in Florida.

DeSantis immediately went to work following through on his promise by throwing his support behind the Parental Rights in Education Bill.

Even though the bill only prohibited teaching gender and sex to young children, the Left dubbed it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and launched a national smear campaign against DeSantis over it.

The Democrats and the left-wing media accused DeSantis of waging a war on the LGBT community.

Since most corporations in America are beholden to the radical Left, then-Disney CEO Bob Chapek caved in to demands from woke LGBT employees at the company and came out publicly against the bill.

Chapek tried to use the fact that Disney is the largest employer in the state to pressure DeSantis into caving in to the radical Left.

But DeSantis signed the bill into law despite Chapek’s demands.

Not only that, but DeSantis also signed a bill stripping Disney of its special privileges and self-governing status and appointed a new board to govern the district.

However, Disney attempted to pull one over on DeSantis by entering into a last-minute agreement with the outgoing board that would allow them to keep their privileges and tax status forever.

After their scheme failed when the DeSantis-appointed board voted to nullify the last-minute agreement over the district, Disney responded by filing a lawsuit asking a judge to reject the federal civil case.

“Disney seeks a court order effectively restoring the status quo that existed before DeSantis and his allies targeted the special tax district that has allowed Orlando’s Walt Disney World to self-govern its operations for decades,” CNBC reported.

But Disney’s attorneys may have made a mistake in their lawsuit against DeSantis.

“Attorneys for Ron DeSantis said Wednesday that the Florida Governor ‘welcomes Disney’s surrender’ on key allegations in the company’s lawsuit accusing the Governor of political retaliation,” CNBC reported. “Disney has accused DeSantis of working to pass legislation targeting the entertainment giant out of a ‘desire to punish’ the company for speaking out against a controversial classroom bill dubbed ‘Don’t Say Gay’ by critics.”

“The Governor welcomes Disney’s surrender on all of its claims challenging his legislative acts,” the attorney’s wrote.

According to CNBC, “the state’s attorneys claimed that Disney, in a filing last month, effectively conceded that much of its initial complaint amounted to little more than ‘a glorified press release.’”

“That’s because Disney ‘now claims that it is challenging only the Governor’s executive actions,’ not his legislative actions, the attorneys for DeSantis argued,” CNBC added.

Ron DeSantis is leading the fight against the woke Left.

He’s under intense fire from Democrats, the media, and even RINOs over his refusal to back down and give one inch to the woke agenda.

And Disney is learning first hand that Ron DeSantis means business.
