Bill Maher got one hard truth about Florida that is an awful problem for Democrats

Democrats are trying to mount a political comeback.

But there is one obstacle that is becoming impossible for them to avoid.

And Bill Maher got one hard truth about Florida that is an awful problem for Democrats.

CNN contributor admits that Democrat states are broken

The Democrat Party is facing a ticking time bomb that began during the pandemic.

Americans began voting with their feet to flee the tyranny and high taxes of blue states.

The fastest-growing states in the country are dominated by red states like Florida, Texas, and South Carolina.

A Republican Presidential candidate could potentially win the White House after the 2030 Census without the Rust Belt swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania because of population growth in red states in the Sun Belt.

CNN contributor Fareed Zakaria warned that the Democrat model of governance was broken during an appearance on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher

“This is a huge Democrat Party problem. If you look at Democratic cities, they are terribly run. They have incredibly high taxes, it is impossible to build, so the cost of housing,” Zakaria explained. “The cost of housing is crazy in places like New York and Chicago.”

He compared Florida to New York, which is the fastest-shrinking state in the country, according to the Census Bureau.

“If you look at Democratic states, you go to look at New York versus Florida, okay, roughly the same population. The budget of New York State is twice that of Florida,” Zakaria said.

Florida has a bigger population than New York, but its state budget is half.

Responsible spending has allowed Florida to keep its taxes low.

Voters do not get what they pay for in Democrat states

Zakaria lamented that he was not getting a return for paying high taxes living in New York.

“What do they have, streets paved with gold?” Zakaria asked. “I live in New York. I pay the highest taxes in New York. You get nothing for it. And I think that is the image people have of the Democratic Party: lots of taxes, lots of regulation, but nothing gets done.”

He warned that voters were not buying the Democrat formula.

“And I think Democrats have to own this and realize the answer to everything is not more taxes, more regulation. People are fed up with that, and they feel that it isn’t working,” Zakaria concluded.

Federalism allows Americans to compare competing systems of governance.

There is not a single state in the country that Democrats can point to as a success story.

Blue states like California, New York, and Illinois are among the leaders in population loss.

Host Bill Maher asked former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel why the current Mayor of the city had a 6% approval rating.

“Round it up. 7,” Emanuel joked. “Safe streets, strong schools, stable finances. Focus on those three things, and your city’s going to be fine. You also have the mayor of New York not doing well… Obviously, other things here in Los Angeles are not doing well, the mayor here.”

Democrats failed policies are sending Americans fleeing in search of a better life in red states.
