On Thursday, Byron Donalds walked onto a college campus and took questions from the next generation Charlie Kirk built.
What Byron Donalds said on that campus is exactly what the Left was hoping nobody would ever say again.
The Movement That Was Supposed to Die Did the Opposite
They were wrong about what a bullet could accomplish.
Since Kirk's assassination on September 10, 2025, TPUSA has added millions of podcast followers, seen an outpouring of interest in new campus chapters, and now operates across 3,500 locations at colleges and high schools nationwide.
Erika Kirk – Charlie's widow – now runs the organization her husband built from the ground up.
Charlie had told the board's executives, more than once, that Erika was who he wanted leading if he wasn't there to lead himself.

They voted unanimously.
JD Vance personally flew Kirk's casket home to Arizona on Air Force Two.
Trump and Vance headlined his memorial.
The left killed one man and produced an army.
What Donalds Is Building at These Campuses
Byron Donalds didn't show up at UCF to give a speech.
He showed up to listen.
Students asked him about AI data centers, home affordability, and Florida's future – the kind of questions that prove conservatives don't just send young people to rallies, they recruit them into policy.
One student pressed Donalds on Florida's data center law, which DeSantis signed and which keeps local governments as the final authority on whether a new facility gets built.
Donalds said the law stays.
“What the law does, it keeps local governments with the final approval whether a data center will be built,” Donalds said. “That's state law today, we’re going to keep that law in place.”
That's the kind of decentralized structure that keeps the decision out of the hands of bureaucrats in Tallahassee – and out of the hands of Democrat-run cities that would rather block development than enable it.

Donalds also talked about his pro-life views.
"What I'm saying is, I am pro-life,” Donalds said. “I'm very happy that we have a heartbeat-protection act on the books. We want to keep that bill on the books, keep that law on the books, but we also now want to do the hard work of continuing to educate mothers about what all their options are.”
Trump has already given Donalds his complete and total endorsement for Florida's governorship.
He would be the first Black governor in state history.
And he's earning that shot the right way – on the ground, in person, taking real questions from real students.

One year ago, a politically motivated assassin shot a 31-year-old American conservative dead for the crime of speaking on a college campus.

It was a political execution – carried out in broad daylight, at a university, in front of students who came to hear him speak.
The shooter wanted to end a movement.
What happened instead is Byron Donalds standing at UCF while Erika Kirk leads from Phoenix and thousands of young conservatives keep organizing on campuses the left thought it owned.
