Casey DeSantis welcomed a Hollywood legend to Florida with these seven words

Feb 29, 2024

Florida has become one of the hottest destinations in the country under Governor Ron DeSantis.

The Sunshine State is attracting Americans from all walks of life looking for freedom.

And Casey DeSantis welcomed a Hollywood legend to Florida with these seven words.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has turned the Sunshine State into one of the fastest-growing states in the country.

Census Bureau data from 2023 found that Florida was top in the country for population growth rate and second behind Texas in new residents added.

Florida’s gain has come at the expense of blue states like California, which are losing residents in droves.

One of the most iconic actors in Hollywood bailed on California to join the growing list of Americans moving to Florida.

Sylvester Stallone tells family they are leaving Hollywood for Florida

Legendary actor Sylvester Stallone told his family that they were leaving Los Angeles to move to Florida on his reality show, The Family Stallone.

“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided it’s time to move on and leave the state of California permanently and we’re going to go to Florida,” Stallone told his three daughters.

The Rocky star told his daughters that they “already have the place” and the move is a “done deal.”

Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, purchased a $35.4 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida in 2021.

The couple have been splitting their time between California and Florida in recent years.

Stallone’s youngest daughter, Scarlett, attends the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

He said that the decision was hard at first to leave California after first moving there in 1973.

“It’s not easy for me to leave California,” Stallone said. “That’s where I got my start. That’s where I got my break. I have a lot of memories.”

Casey DeSantis welcomes Sylvester Stallone to the “Free State of Florida”

Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis responded to a clip of Stallone announcing his move on social media by welcoming him to the Sunshine State.

“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” DeSantis wrote. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”

Sylvester Stallone and his family are joining the exodus of Californians leaving the state’s rampant crime and high taxes behind to search for a better life in Florida.
