Democrat Charlie Crist blasted Ron DeSantis when he signed the Parental Rights in Education Bill into law.
Crist claims to be a champion of the LGBT community.
But Charlie Crist just got caught in a Pride Month double standard that will infuriate the woke Left.
Ron DeSantis is running for re-election to another term as Governor this fall.
Democrat Congressman Charlie Crist and Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried are the top two Democrats seeking the opportunity to take on Ron DeSantis in November.
With two months left until the August 23 Democrat Primary, Charlie Crist holds a significant lead over Nikki Fried in the polls.
Crist is also crushing Nikki Fried in fundraising, although both of them pale in comparison to the more than $115 million raised by Ron DeSantis for his reelection efforts.
Even though Charlie Crist is leading Nikki Fried in the polls, he’s having to make an extra effort to convince the far-left that he embraces their woke agenda.
The far-left is skeptical of Charlie Crist because he previously served as the Republican Governor of Florida before switching parties to run for Congress where he currently serves.
However, as Governor, Crist supported the state law that prevented homosexual couples from adopting children.
The law was eventually overturned in the courts.
And in 2008, Crist also supported a referendum that added a ban on same-sex marriage to the Florida Constitution.
In an effort to shore up his credentials with the woke Left, Charlie Crist came out hard against Ron DeSantis over the Parental Rights in Education Bill.
“‘Don’t Say Gay’ is a heinous piece of legislation that silences teachers in their own classrooms and takes away the safe spaces of millions of LGBTQ students who may have no where else to turn,” Crist claimed.
However, it appears that Crist has a different message depending on which constituency he is talking to.
In a post on Twitter, media strategist Giancarlo Sopo pointed out the difference between the English and Spanish version of Crist’s campaign store.
“Interesting,” Sopa Tweeted. “When you visit Charlie Crist’s campaign store, the English version prominently features Pride Month materials for sale. But the Spanish version has none.”

Charlie Crist is making a special effort to court homosexual voters in Florida.
But Crist just got exposed for holding a double standard and saying two different things depending on who is listening.
And the Left will be infuriated when they see Crist was ashamed to promote the LGBT campaign store to Hispanics.
