The Second Amendment is on the ballot in November.
Democrats are promising to pass sweeping new gun bans if elected to office.
And Charlie Crist picked up one terrifying endorsement for gun owners in Florida.
On Thursday, the radical anti-gun organization, Ban Assault Weapons Now (BAWN), endorsed Democrat Charlie Crist over Ron DeSantis in Florida’s election for Governor.
BAWN was founded by survivors and family members of the victims killed in the Pulse NightClub and Parkland mass shootings in Florida.
BAWN said it made the decision based on Charlie Crist’s “impeccable” record of supporting gun control in Congress.
“It is with great enthusiasm that family members and survivors from two of the deadliest shootings in American history, announce BAWN’s endorsement and commitment to help elect Charlie Crist as the next Governor of Florida,” the organization said in a statement.
BAWN also made the outrageous prediction that if Florida voters re-elected Ron DeSantis to a second term, then gun violence would certainly soar in the Sunshine State due to his promise to pass a Constitutional Carry bill.
“In addition to saying he would have vetoed the bipartisan commonsense reforms passed after the Parkland massacre, Ron DeSantis has vowed to pass a permitless and untrained carry bill — allowing Floridians to carry a loaded gun in public with no permit, no safety training and no background check,” the aunt of Parkland shooting victim Alex Schachter and BAWN founder Gail Schwartz said.
“At a time when Florida has experienced an average of 2,849 gun deaths annually, this will unquestionably cause more bloodshed and heartache in our communities,” Schwartz falsely claimed.
Of course, this is patently false.
The reality is that virtually every mass shooting takes place in a state or city where the most strict gun control laws are already in place.
“I’m proud to earn the support of BAWN in our mission to fight for Florida and work to put an end to the gun violence epidemic destroying our communities,” Crist said in a statement.
“Enough is enough,” the statement continued, before asking “how many more innocent children and families need to die before we take real action to keep Floridians safe?”
“I vow to be a fighter for common sense gun reform and a champion for safer communities,” Crist concluded.
The good news for Florida gun owners is that Ron DeSantis can be trusted to stand up in the face of massive pressure from the radical Left.
DeSantis previously promised to sign Constitutional Carry into law before he leaves office.
And if DeSantis gets re-elected to a second term in November, supporters of the Second Amendment in Florida can be confident that he will make good on his promise to sign Constitutional Carry into law.
