Christina Pushaw just asked one serious question that every candidate for Congress needs to answer

Aug 12, 2022

Democrats recently rammed the $700 billion so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” through the Senate on a Party-line vote.

The 755-page boondoggle is expected to pass the House and be signed into law by Joe Biden any day now.

And Christina Pushaw just asked one serious question that every candidate for Congress needs to answer.

Democrats are facing an uphill battle to maintain control of Congress after November.

Republicans only need to flip one seat in the Senate and five in the House to take back power and oust Pelosi and Schumer from leadership.

With Joe Biden’s disastrous Presidency dragging down Democrats across the board, Pelosi and Schumer desperately needed some type of victory that they could sell to voters this fall.

Unfortunately, Democrats picked a $700 billion massive spending bill that extends Obamacare subsidies and funds portions of the Green New Deal as the win they needed to try and maintain power after November.

Of course, the $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act will only send inflation skyrocketing even further.

After all, it was Joe Biden and the Democrats’ $1.7 trillion “America Rescue Plan” that kicked off the massive inflation crushing the American people today.

But perhaps the most terrifying provision is that the bill adds 87,000 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents who will certainly harass, investigate, and audit hard-working Americans.

During Barack Obama’s eight years in office, he weaponized the IRS to go after his political opponents and any American who opposed the Left’s radical agenda.

Today, Joe Biden is following Obama’s footsteps by weaponizing the Department of Justice and the FBI to help stop Donald Trump from running for President again in 2024.

Fortunately, Republicans have a chance to take back Congress in November and undo the damage done by Democrats over the past two years.

But Republican voters must first elect Representatives who can be trusted to get the job done.

That’s why Ron DeSantis’ Press Secretary, Christina Pushaw, is calling on all candidates to “go on record” about how they plan to respond to this power grab if elected in November.

“Every candidate running for Congress this year needs to go on the record about what they will do with the massive power grab the DC swamp just passed to terrorize and impoverish the American people,” Pushaw tweeted.

She then called on them to “defund the 87,000 new IRS agents.”

“Will you defund the 87,000 new IRS agents or not?!” Pushaw asked.

Pushaw also ripped the Democrats for voting against an amendment offered by Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) to protect middle-class Americans and small businesses from Biden’s supersized IRS.

“EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT VOTED THIS AMENDMENT DOWN!” Pushaw wrote in a post sharing Crapo’s amendment. “So when they claim to be going after ‘millionaires and billionaires’ with their 87,000 new IRS agents, THEY ARE LYING,” she added.

Far too often, Republicans talk a good game on the campaign trail only to turn around and stab voters in the back once in office.

Pushaw understands this fact.

And she is calling on every candidate for Congress to go on record about what they plan to do if elected in November to combat this massive power grab.
