The Midterm elections are coming up in November.
But New Yorkers are already voting with their feet.
And Christina Pushaw just revealed why so many folks are fleeing New York and moving to Florida.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis became the Left’s number-one villain during the pandemic for his pro-freedom policies.
Instead of following along with Biden and Fauci’s lockdown orders, DeSantis kept Florida’s schools and businesses open during the pandemic.
DeSantis also took a strong stand against personal COVID restrictions by banning masks and vaccine mandates in the Sunshine State.
Even though DeSantis’ pro-freedom policies have since been proven effective, the Democrats and left-wing media continue to attack and smear him on a daily basis.
California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom dropped $105,000 on an ad attacking DeSantis that ran on Fox News in Florida on Independence Day.
And several other Democrat politicians, such as New York City Mayor Eric Adams, also ran digital ads in Florida attacking DeSantis after he stood up for parental rights in education.
But DeSantis’ Press Secretary, Christina Pushaw, is now taking the fight directly to the Democrats and pointing out the absurdity of their left-wing policies.
Officials in New York City recently began pushing for residents to start back wearing masks indoors in response to an alleged new wave of COVID making people sick.
In a post on Twitter, Christina Pushaw commented on a public transportation sign that read, “just put the damn mask on while on the train. Is it really that hard?”
The sign, which displayed a figure flipping off someone, said “figure it the eff out and stop being a jerk.”
“New York City is not going back to normal,” Pushaw wrote.
“That’s why many people left already and more are leaving,” she added.

Of course, Pushaw is correct.
The latest figures from the Census Bureau show that more than 1.6 million current Floridians were born in New York, which is nearly 8% of the state’s population.
Between July of 2019 and July of 2020, the Bureau reports that 126,355 residents fled New York, with a large percentage moving to Florida.
During the last year alone, 211,000 people moved to Florida.
“As long as Governor DeSantis is in office, Florida will remain free of these absurd and harmful restrictions,” Pushaw said in a statement. “The number of New Yorkers fleeing to places like Miami is not sustainable, and it is directly caused by New York state and local politicians refusing to go back to normal.”
DeSantis turned Florida into an “oasis of freedom” during the pandemic.
And Americans are fleeing lockdown states and moving to enjoy freedom in Florida by the droves.
