Ron DeSantis took a bold stand.
His courage has inspired others to follow his lead.
And Christina Pushaw praised one major grocery store chain for making this potentially life-saving decision.
Ron DeSantis has been under fire from Democrats and the corporate-controlled media since his announcement last week that Florida would be the only state in America not to pre-order COVID vaccines for children under 5 despite authorization from the FDA.
“Let’s be clear, elected officials shouldn’t get in the way and make it more difficult for parents who want their children to be vaccinated and want to protect them and those around them,” Joe Biden declared.
Florida is also the only state to officially recommend against COVID vaccines for children.
“We are not going to have any programs where we’re trying to jab six month old babies with MRNA,” DeSantis said at a press conference last week. “That’s just the reality.”
Even though Florida will not be providing or administering doses of the COVID vaccine to children under five, parents who wish to jab their kids are still allowed to do so, but without the assistance of the government.
These parents will have to take their kids to Walmart, CVS, or one of the other businesses that will be distributing vaccines to children under five.
However, there is one place parents won’t be able to take their children to get jabbed.
Apparently Ron DeSantis’ courage is contagious.
And the giant grocery store chain Publix announced it would not be administering vaccines to young children.
A spokesperson for the Lakeland-based Publix Super Markets Inc. told the Tampa Bay Times, “it will not offer the vaccine approved for children ages 4 and under ‘at this time.’”
Of course, this decision won’t earn Publix any fans in the media or on the radical Left.
But Ron DeSantis’ Press Secretary Christina Pushaw praised Publix for making a “good decision” and for “following the data.”
“Good decision,” Pushaw wrote in a post linking to an article about the decision by Publix.
“Following the data,” she continued, before adding that “Publix won’t give COVID vaccine to children under 5.”
Good decision. Following the data.

“Following the data” is what Ron DeSantis has been doing from day one of the pandemic.
It’s why he refused to enforce lockdowns and banned mask mandates.
It’s also why Ron DeSantis is officially recommending against COVID vaccines for children.
“Our Department of Health has been very clear – the risks outweigh the benefits,” DeSantis said.
“Remember, these are people in Washington that rejected the idea of natural immunity,” DeSantis continued. “For a year and a half they said that the vaccine was better than prior infection. Every credible study that’s been done has said that that’s not the case. And so they’ve been wrong time and time again. They were wrong when they criticized me for having schools open. They wanted our kids locked out of school in the state of Florida. They were wrong when they criticized me for having businesses open, beaches, all these other things.”
