Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried went toe-to-toe Thursday during the only Democrat debate before the August 23 Primary.
One of the two will take on Ron DeSantis in November.
But Christina Pushaw revealed one of the many reasons why Ron DeSantis will defeat Charlie Crist or Nikki Fried.
Congressman Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried are the two Democrat candidates running for the opportunity to take on Ron DeSantis this fall.
With only a month left until the Primary, Charlie Crist is leading Nikki Fried by a large margin in the polls and in fundraising.
Crist has also racked up endorsements from prominent national Democrats like Nancy Pelosi as well as the Big Labor bosses at the AFL-CIO.
But Nikki Fried is confident she can overcome Charlie Crist’s lead and achieve victory on August 23.
On Thursday, Fried and Crist went toe-to-toe during the only debate before the Primary.
However, instead of using the opportunity to convince voters why they are the best choice, Fried and Crist used the entire debate to argue about who had the most left-wing credentials.
The majority of Fried’s attacks centered on Crist’s actions when he previously served as the Republican Governor of Florida before switching to the Democrats.
Fried kicked off the debate by immediately attacking Charlie Crist for allegedly not being pro-abortion enough.
“I have been pro-choice my entire life,” Fried began. “I have made sure that I have stood on the side of women. Charlie cannot say the same thing. He has been ‘pro-life’ his entire life, including today. When he was Governor, he appointed the most radical extremists into the Supreme Court.”
This led to a back-and-forth between the two, with Crist accusing Fried of acting out of “desperation” because she knows she is “losing the campaign.”
During the entire debate, the only thing Fried and Crist agreed on was their hatred for Governor Ron DeSantis.
“He’s the worst Governor in modern Florida history,” Crist said. “What he’s doing is giving up everything that Floridians care about in order to pursue the White House because he’s thinking about it all day, every day.”
Fried echoed Crist’s criticism, saying that DeSantis supports “fascism.”
DeSantis’ spokeswoman, Christina Pushaw, ripped Fried and Crist in a post on social media, calling the debate “too cringe” to even watch.
“Didn’t watch the whole Florida Democrat gubernatorial primary debate tonight because it was too cringe,” Pushaw wrote.
She then pointed out that both Fried and Crist are too extreme for Florida voters, which is one reason DeSantis will crush them in the fall.
“Both candidates advocated for elective abortion at any point in pregnancy; one said she would defund all state prosecutors if they attempted to prosecute crimes,” Pushaw added.

Polls currently show DeSantis handily defeating both Crist and Fried in a head-to-head hypothetical matchup.
DeSantis is also crushing them in fundraising, bringing in a record-shattering $130 million for his re-election efforts.
And Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried’s extremism may end up helping DeSantis achieve his goal of turning Florida into a solid red state.
