Joe Biden and the Democrats have made their plans for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and the rest of the conservatives on the Supreme Court abundantly clear.
But there’s one thing no one was counting on.
And now Clarence Thomas was left slack jawed when Ron DeSantis made this big announcement.
At the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, DeSantis acknowledged the next President would likely have to find replacements for Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
Speaking highly of Thomas and Alito, DeSantis realized how hard it would be to replace them.
“The issue with that is, you can’t really do better than those two. They are the gold standard for jurisprudence,” DeSantis said.
He continued “So you’ve got to make sure that we’re appointing people who are going to be as close to that standard as possible,” reported The Daily Caller.
To contrast the difference between Chief Justice John Roberts and Clarence Thomas, DeSantis said appointing someone like Roberts would “see the court move to the left.”
DeSantis outlined what the proper Supreme Court Justice would look like, and the characteristics they would need to have for him to even consider nominating them to the highest court in the land.
“You want somebody that understands the proper role of the Court, that’s going to apply the law and Constitution as it’s written and originally understood, not as they would like it to mean, and no legislating from the bench,” Ron DeSantis said.
He continued “I think what separates the great justices from justices who may not reach that level is do you have the fortitude and the backbone to rule the way the Constitution demands, regardless of how that’s going to be received by elite media, by the law professoriate, by lawyers,” reported The Daily Caller.
Joe Biden would love the chance to nominate more radical activists.
And with Biden’s already-clear history of appointing radical judges who have no problem legislating from the bench to the federal judiciary, if Biden gets reelected, the Supreme Court is virtually guaranteed to end up having a much different makeup – one that could ram through the Left’s entire radical platform.
And of course, leftists are still hysterical that the Court’s current conservative majority was able to overturn Roe v. Wade.
That’s why Democrats have made plenty of noise that they are more than happy to try and increase the number of Justices and ram through their radical left-wing agenda.
Democrats have already vowed to make the Supreme Court a major campaign issue heading into 2024 calling the current Supreme Court “right-wing extremists.”
But if Ron DeSantis becomes the next President – his plan to appoint solid Supreme Court Justices will serve America well.
