Gubernatorial candidate David Jolly told national Democrats last week he needs their money.
Campaign finance records show he has been spending donor money on Ritz Carlton hotels in six different cities.
The cities on Democrat David Jolly’s receipt list will tell you everything you need to know about how the Left treats its campaign donors.
The Man With His Hand Out
David Jolly stood in front of supporters last week and said the quiet part out loud.
"I need the national Democratic Party to come into Florida and start spending money," he told the crowd.
His campaign had $3.3 million in the bank at that point.

Byron Donalds had $135 million.
That's not a gap.
That's a different sport.
But here's what Jolly didn't mention while begging for cash – campaign finance disclosures show he ran up Ritz Carlton tabs in Miami, Washington D.C., Naples, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, and New York City.
Six cities. Six Ritz Carltons.
Average room rates at those properties run $500 to over $1,200 a night during peak periods.
X user Mark Glaeser flagged the disclosures in late September and noted that a portion of those hotel charges was covered by Florida taxpayers through the state's matching funds program.
What $500 a Night Buys in a Losing Campaign
This is a pattern Democrats run on repeat.
Ilhan Omar's campaign spent $6,000 on luxury accommodations – among them a Ritz Carlton – while her working-class Minnesota constituents presumably booked their own rooms.
AOC racked up more than $53,000 in luxury hotel charges in 2025 while conducting her "Fighting Oligarchy" tour with Bernie Sanders.
The former senator Kyrsten Sinema spent over $180,000 in campaign and PAC funds on luxury hotels, car services, and high-end restaurants.

These aren't outliers.
This is what Democrats do.
They raise money from working Americans, lecture those same Americans about inequality, and then charge their donors for $1,200 hotel rooms while asking for more.
Jolly fits the mold perfectly.
He's a former Republican congressman who flipped parties and repackaged himself as a sensible alternative – now running on a platform that would hand Florida to the same radical agenda he once opposed.
Breitbart News previously reported Jolly wants to apologize to the world for Florida's "culture wars," supported Fauci's pandemic lockdowns, fled Florida for Pennsylvania during COVID, and came back to mock Ron DeSantis and personal freedom.
He supports letting biological males compete in girls' sports.
He wants to crush Florida's gun culture.
He wants to end the state's school choice programs that are changing lives for thousands of Florida families.
And he's doing all of that from a Ritz Carlton.
Florida Already Knows the Answer
The University of North Florida's own poll shows Donalds leading Jolly by five points among likely midterm voters – 46 percent to 41 percent.

The only poll showing Jolly ahead is from Change Research, a Democrat-aligned firm, which gave him a two-point edge.
Democrats are pushing that number because it's the only one that helps them.
Donalds has raised $135 million. He has Trump's endorsement, Rick Scott's endorsement, Elon Musk's endorsement, the support of the majority of Florida sheriffs, and a grassroots operation that has knocked more than 300,000 doors across the state.
Jolly has Ritz Carlton receipts and a hand extended toward national Democrats who aren't convinced Florida is worth their money.
He's going to need a lot more than $3.3 million.
What he won't need is a better hotel.
