Polls show Ron DeSantis is the top contender for the GOP nominee if Donald Trump decides not to run again in 2024.
But DeSantis is up for re-election this year as Governor.
And Democrat Charlie Crist just signaled that he’s hoping RINOs will help him defeat DeSantis in November.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has opposed the Biden administration’s economy-crushing lockdowns and refused to enforce mask and vaccine mandates.
He also took on the “woke” cancel culture Left by banning the teaching of Marxist-based Critical Race Theory in Florida’s government schools.
Because of his willingness to stand up to the Democrats and the corporate-controlled media, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is wildly popular with Republican voters nationwide.
Poll after poll shows that DeSantis would easily win the GOP nomination in 2024 if Donald Trump decides not to run again for President.
But Ron DeSantis is facing re-election in November, with three prominent Democrats – former Governor and U.S. Representative Charlie Crist, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, and Florida State Senator Annette Taddeo – running for the opportunity to take him on in the General Election.
Charlie Crist is currently the Democrat Party frontrunner.
However, polls show Ron DeSantis with an approval rating of 52 percent, with 42 percent of Floridians strongly approving of his job as Governor.
The same polls show DeSantis defeating Crist 46 to 43 in a head-to-head matchup, with seven percent of voters undecided.
But Charlie Crist just signaled that he’s hoping RINOs and Never-Trump Republicans will help him defeat Ron DeSantis in November.
According to reports, Charlie Crist is teaming up with RINO South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace on legislation in Congress designed to appeal to senior citizens, which makes up a large constituency of the GOP voting base in Florida.
Of course, Nancy Mace is also facing a tough primary of her own after she spent the past year pushing the Democrats’ phony narrative that January 6 was a terrorist insurrection carried out by Trump supporters.
But Charlie Crist seeking out support from RINOs such as Nancy Mace is leading to speculation that he is hoping they will help him defeat Ron DeSantis in November.
