Democrats in Illinois passed a law that will allow illegal aliens to become police officers in the state starting next year.
Ron DeSantis previously ripped Illinois’ Democrat Governor for signing such an outrageous bill into law.
But Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker will blow a gasket over these Ron DeSantis billboards popping up all over Chicago.
Crime is becoming a major issue in Democrat-led states and cities across the country.
Instead of supporting law-enforcement, Democrats are defunding police departments and pushing pro-crime policies like cashless bail.
But in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis views law and order as one of his top priorities.
When Democrat officials told law-enforcement officers to get vaccinated or be fired, Ron DeSantis offered bonuses and other incentives for police to relocate and work in Florida.
According to DeSantis’ office, since 2022, more than 2,700 law-enforcement recruits from all over the country have moved to Florida.
In the months leading up to his Presidential announcement, DeSantis traveled to New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois to speak to police officers about the Democrats’ war on law-enforcement.
DeSantis apparently made an impact, as his office reported that 37 recruits from Illinois have already relocated to the Sunshine State.
But when Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill into law that will allow illegal aliens to become police officers starting next year, DeSantis once again decided to offer a helping hand to law-enforcement officers in crime-ridden Chicago.
Pritzker previously said “DeSantis is not smart enough to be President” after the Florida Governor ripped the idea of hiring illegal alien cops.
But Pritzker will really be furious when he sees the new billboards DeSantis is placing all across Chicago informing police officers that there is a big bonus waiting for them in Florida.
“Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Florida will launch billboards in the Chicago area to incentivize law enforcement officers to move to the Sunshine State,” Florida’s Voice wrote. “In the announcement, the governor’s office pointed to Chicago’s ‘soaring’ crime rate, along with Illinois both recently allowing foreign nationals to become police officers and eliminating cash bail.”
The billboards say “Citizenship Matters. Law Enforcement Matters. Make the Smart Move to Florida!”
Any police officer who leaves Illinois and moves to Florida will be able to take advantage of a $5,000 after-taxes signing bonus.
“Florida strongly supports law enforcement and has consistently enacted commonsense criminal justice policies to keep our communities safe,” DeSantis said. “We stand behind our citizen officers, and we give them the tools to succeed professionally and personally.”
“Other states deputize non-citizens, enact policies that favor criminals over victims, and work to overtly or covertly defund the police, but not in Florida,” he continued. “I look forward to welcoming the Illinois men and women in blue to the law-and-order state.”
Not only has he stood beside law-enforcement, but he also suspended two Soros-backed prosecutors who refused to enforce the laws of the state.
Law and order has always been a top priority of DeSantis.
And DeSantis has promised to make it a top priority as President by securing the border and ending the weaponization of justice.
