Of all the failures of the Biden Presidency, gas prices have had the biggest direct impact on American families.
Since his first day in office, Joe Biden has stood in the way of domestic oil production.
Now DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw is calling out Biden’s latest gas price gimmick.
Recently, Joe Biden has floated the idea of a “gas tax holiday” to lower how much Americans are shelling out at the pump.
The federal gas tax now sits at 18 cents per gallon.
With gas over $5 in most of the country, this gimmick would barely make a dent.
So DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw took to Twitter and called out the Biden administration.
The federal gas tax is 18 cents. Since Biden's inauguration, gas prices have increased by ~$2.50 per gallon – 14 TIMES fed gas tax. Gas prices more than doubled since the Trump administration. This is a direct result of the Biden Administration’s war on American energy production

Joe Biden is intent on doing anything other than the one thing that will actually bring down the price of gas – expanding domestic oil production.
Biden has tried everything from begging OPEC countries to increase production to tapping the strategic reserve.
Of course, none of these band-aids will get gas prices back down to the level it was when Trump was still President.
Biden shut down the Keystone Pipeline on his first day in office and has closed down drilling on federal lands.
Since Biden took office, domestic oil production has dropped by over 1.5 million barrels per day.
The gas price surge we are facing is the predictable result of the Biden administration putting the interests of radical environmentalists before everyday Americans.
Of course, you can bet if Biden and the Democrats do suspend the gas task, it will be temporary.
You can probably expect it to come back right after the Midterm elections.
Biden loves taxes, and you could bet it would pain him to even give Americans this small amount of relief.
With Biden’s approval ratings in the 30s, he is desperate to appear to do something, so long as it doesn’t mean more American energy production.
While the Fake News Media tries to tell Americans that these record-high gas prices aren’t Biden’s fault, Americans know better.
Hopefully this November, they send Congress a message.
