DeSantis’ Super PAC made a game-changer announcement that could upend everything as Trump goes to trial

The 2024 Republican Presidential nominating contest kicks off with the Iowa Caucuses on January 15.

Ron DeSantis is focusing almost entirely on the early states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.

And DeSantis’ Super PAC made a game-changer announcement that could upend everything just as Trump goes to trial.

Donald Trump continues to hold a massive lead over the rest of the Republican Presidential Primary field.

But there’s still more than four months left until the Iowa Caucuses take place on January 15.

DeSantis has already spent a good bit of time in Iowa and is on his way to visiting all of the state’s 99 counties.

Iowa voters respond well to candidates who are willing to visit the small areas that most politicians tend to ignore.

A win in Iowa serves as a shot of momentum for a Republican Presidential candidate’s campaign.

“To be sure, observers said candidates don’t have to win in Iowa — some past presidential nominees didn’t — and that coming somewhere near the top spot should maintain enough momentum to keep a campaign going,” ABC News reported. “But meeting or exceeding expectations can provide a major jolt, influencing which candidates make it to other states and which ones receive more media attention.”

On Thursday, Never Back Down, the Super PAC supporting DeSantis, launched the “Iowa Parents Never Back Down” coalition.

“The super PAC supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign has formed a coalition of Iowa parents, including several conservative school board members and local leaders of Moms for Liberty,” the Des Moines Register reported. “The Never Back Down PAC launched its ‘Iowa Parents Never Back Down’ coalition on Thursday,” the Register continued. “The PAC created similar groups in New Hampshire and South Carolina — early voting states on the presidential primary calendar — and in Virginia, where parental rights were central to Republican wins in 2021.”

The coalition for Iowa will include several known activists in the state and will consist of 100 members and 10 chairs.

“The Democrats and Washington elites will stop at nothing to put themselves in control of our children instead of us parents, and the only person who can stop them dead in their tracks is Gov. DeSantis, because he’s not afraid to take on the tough battles, restore sanity, and protect the next generation of Americans,” coalition chair and Moms for Liberty member Missy Collins said in a statement.

Ron DeSantis is focusing on Iowa and plans to spend several weeks in the state between now and January 15.

Donald Trump is also making Iowa a top priority.

But Trump is facing a politically-motivated witch hunt designed to take him out of the race.

The Democrat prosecutors and judges running the show are trying to set Trump’s trial dates at a time that will damage him in Iowa and other important states.

And Trump could be sitting in a courtroom at trial while Ron DeSantis is out shaking hands and kissing babies in Iowa.
