The next chapter in the Ron DeSantis-Disney feud played out.
Disney made a huge mistake.
And Disney just walked into a trap that will hand Ron DeSantis this huge victory.
Disney keeps paying the price for going woke and trying to kill legislation blocking teachers from using sexualized lesson plans to indoctrinate children into transgenderism.
Ron DeSantis signed legislation stripping Disney of its special privileges to operate as its own self-government in the Reedy Creek District and instead put the district under the control of a board appointed by the governor.
Disney tried to evade the law by cutting a deal with the old Reedy Creek District Board to maintain Disney’s self-government in perpetuity.
But Ron DeSantis got the last laugh as the new board voted to dissolve Disney’s sweetheart deal.
Minutes after the board held its vote, Disney filed a lawsuit claiming the new legislation violated Disney’s First Amendment rights and the takings clause.
“This government action was patently retaliatory, patently anti-business, and patently unconstitutional,” Disney claimed.
Disney demanded a judge declare the actions by the new board “unlawful and unenforceable.”
The DeSantis administration laughed off Disney’s legal action dismissing the suit by noting that there is no Constitutional right for Disney to operate its own government.

Disney clearly bit off more than it could chew in this fight.
The company only got involved in the first place after former CEO Bob Chapek folded to a rebellion by woke employees and put out a statement expressing Disney’s desire to see the Parental Rights in Education Bill killed or struck down in court.
Conservatives are sick of woke corporations flexing their economic muscle to force red states to bow to the Left’s cultural agenda.
In 2015, major corporations and the NCAA successfully blackmailed Indiana and North Carolina to rescind religious freedom legislation and a bill to ban biological males from using the women’s bathroom.
Ron DeSantis is the first Republican Governor to tell big corporations no more.
Disney is free to act like a Democrat Party interest group and lobby on behalf of the Democrat Party’s agenda.
But Ron DeSantis set the template for Republicans to fight back by telling companies like Disney that they can no longer expect red states to keep providing tax breaks and special favors that will fund their own demise.
