Disney has made pushing wokeness on audiences the company’s top priority.
The tide is beginning to turn at the entertainment giant.
And Disney stunned everyone by waiving the white flag of defeat in this woke fight.
Wokeness has seeped into every part of the corporate culture at Disney.
Disneyland in Anaheim, California put up a poster with a “wheel of power/privilege” in an area for workers to lecture them about their privilege.
The poster explained that being white, speaking English, or being straight male meant that an employee had unearned privilege that their marginalized co-workers did not have.
Being transgender, homeless, a minority or not speaking English were cited as examples of being marginalized.
The post defined privilege as “unearned access or advantage granted to specific groups of people because of their membership in a social group.”
“Privilege can be based off a variety of different social identities such as race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, ability status, sexuality, age, education level, and more,” the poster continued. “Within the US, members of social groups that hold privileges (white, male, wealthy, able-bodied, etc.) have historically held dominance and power over targeted groups.”
The poster told employees that they needed to accept that they are privileged if they had any of those traits.
The Daily Wire received a copy of the poster from an anonymous source who works for Disney.
The poster was placed in a kitchen on the Main Street USA section of Disneyland.
The source told The Daily Wire that woke material like the poster is “destroying the magic” of Disneyland.
“So many cast members, myself included, are tired of the division being pushed by companies with a lack of regard for the founder’s vision,” the source told The Daily Wire. “This isn’t what Walt would have wanted for his company. He once said, ‘To ALL who come to this happy place, Welcome.’ Things like this make people feel unwelcome, destroying the magic.”
The Daily Wire contacted management at Disney about the poster and where it is being applied.
Exposing the absurd poster caused Disney’s woke management to back down.
The source said that just hours after The Daily Wire reached out about the poster, management had it removed from the display where it was exhibited.
Disney’s left-wing indoctrination is aimed at its employees not just its audiences.
Wokeness has become a core value of the company.
Disney has paid a steep price for going woke with attendance dropping at its theme parks, its movies bombing at the box office, and its streaming services losing billions of dollars.
Disney CEO Bob Iger came clean last year that the company’s political agenda was hurting its product.
“Creators lost sight of what their No. 1 objective needed to be,” Iger said at the DealBook Summit in November. “We have to entertain first. It’s not about messages.”
The woke poster for employees of Disneyland shows that Disney is still obsessed with pushing a divisive left-wing message.
