Disney has been in bad shape since the company went woke.
They have not hit rock bottom yet.
And Disney’s CEO was scared out of his mind about this epic disaster embarrassing him.
Disney prepares for its new Snow White movie to be a box office bomb
The 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of Disney’s most popular and successful films.
Disney decided to remake the timeless classic as a live-action film.
There was one controversy after another during the making of the new Snow White.
Woke actress Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White, trashed the 1937 version as “dated,” attacked the prince as a “guy who literally stalks her,” and called the movie “weird.”
“People are making these jokes about ours being the PC Snow White, where it’s like, yeah, it is — because it needed that,” Zegler said.
She wanted an updated feminist version of the film where the princess did not need saving by a man.
Zegler went on a tirade against President Donald Trump and his supporters on social media after the election.
Actor Peter Dinklage, a dwarf, criticized the movie as “backward” for using the Seven Dwarfs as characters.
Disney responded by recasting the Seven Dwarfs to include actors of normal height and later computer-generated images.
The Snow White remake has been delayed for years and now Disney is preparing for the movie to bomb at the box office.
Disney signals its Snow White remake will be a box office bomb
Disney has written off any chance of the Snow White remake being successful.
The London premiere of the film was canceled over fears of “anti-woke backlash,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Disney is already anticipating an anti-woke backlash against Snow White and have reduced the media schedule to just a handful of tightly controlled press events,” the source stated.
“That is why they have taken the highly unusual step not to host a London premiere for the film and are minimizing the amount of press questions that Rachel Zegler gets,” the source added.
Disney did not have Zegler or any of the stars doing the usual press tour to generate interest in the film.
The Los Angeles premiere will not have press on the red carpet to prevent the stars from answering questions.
Disney has scaled back the marketing for the film according to theater owners.
“They’ve been going through the motions on Snow White, all but saying, ‘We need to get this thing over with,’” a source told The Hollywood Reporter. “An advance sales cycle of less than two weeks just screams, ‘We have zero faith in this thing.’ And it couldn’t come at a worse point, when the industry is just trying to limp along to May.”
Disney does not want to throw good money after bad trying to save the film.
They almost certainly know that the writing is on the wall for the Snow White remake to bomb after years of controversy.
Snow White could join the growing list of Disney movies that flopped with audiences because they were woke.
