Disney’s woke CEO just attacked Ron DeSantis for a reason that will have you seeing red

Big corporations are becoming enforcers of the radical Left’s political agenda.

Woke CEOs like to use their power and influence to strong-arm politicians.

And Disney’s woke CEO just attacked Ron DeSantis for a reason that will have you seeing red.

The radical Left is attacking Ron DeSantis over legislation he is expected to sign any day now that simply prevents teachers from brainwashing children in grades pre-K through third about sexuality and gender.

Even though the bill doesn’t even mention the word gay, the Left is calling it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and claiming that it will be somehow weaponized against the “LGBTQ+” community.

At Disney’s annual meeting on Wednesday, CEO Bob Chapek admitted that he had been working behind-the-scenes to try to stop the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill that Ron DeSantis is expected to sign into law any day now.

“We were opposed to the bill from the outset, but we chose not to take a public position on it because we felt we could be more effective working behind the scenes, engaging directly with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle,” Chapek said. “And we were hoping that our longstanding relationships with those lawmakers would enable us to achieve a better outcome,” Chapek continued, adding that, “but, despite weeks of effort, we were ultimately unsuccessful.”

“I understand our political approach, no matter how well intentioned, didn’t quite get the job done,” Chapek added.

Chapek said he did speak with Governor DeSantis on the phone about his opposition to the legislation.

“I called Governor DeSantis this morning to express our disappointment and concern that if the legislation becomes law it could be used to target [LGBTQ+} kids and families. The Governor heard our concerns,” Chapek said.

However, Chapek failed to convince Ron DeSantis to drop his support for the bill.

DeSantis’ spokesperson, Christina Pushaw, released a statement about the call from Disney regarding Florida’s parental rights in education bill.

Even though he failed to stop the legislation in Florida, Chapek announced that Disney was not only signing a Human Rights Campaign petition against similar bills across the country, but was also donating $5 million to the radical Left homosexual lobby.

“So today, we are signing the human rights campaign statement opposing such legislative efforts around the country and pledging $5 million towards organizations including the HRC working to protect LGBTQ rights,” Chapek said.

Chapek also announced that Ron DeSantis was willing to “meet with me and LGBTQ+ members of our senior team in Florida” at a later date to discuss “LGBTQ+” issues.

The meeting hasn’t yet been scheduled.

But Ron DeSantis is principled.

He’s willing to stand up for his beliefs and convictions in the face of media and left-wing attacks and smears.

This is one of the reasons why Democrats are terrified of DeSantis.

But it’s also the reason why he is wildly-popular with Republican voters nationwide, with polls showing he would be the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination if Donald Trump decides not to run again in 2024.
