The radical Left hates Ron DeSantis.
There is no other Republican elected official who they fear more than DeSantis.
And Disney’s woke CEO never expected his employees to respond this way after he attacked Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis is leading the fight against the woke ideology by banning the teaching of Marxist-based Critical Race Theory in Florida’s classrooms.
DeSantis is also protecting young children from left-wing brainwashing, recently declaring this the “year of the parent” in Florida.
Last week, the Republican-led Florida State Legislature passed a Parental Rights in Education Bill, which simply states that “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”
In short, the bill simply prohibits the teaching of gender identity and sexuality to children in pre-K through third grade.
Even though the legislation doesn’t mention the word “gay” or say anything about homosexuality, the radical Left misnamed it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and demanded Ron DeSantis drop his support for it.
When nasty attacks and smears from Democrats and the corporate-controlled media failed to sway Ron DeSantis, Disney CEO Bob Chapek stepped in and tried to pressure the Governor by publicly opposing the legislation.
Chapek even held a phone call with Ron DeSantis where he attempted, without success, to convince him to veto the legislation.
Chapek also pledged to donate $5 million to radical left-wing groups that promote the homosexual agenda.
But apparently, this wasn’t good enough for the woke employees at Disney.
And now, a group of Disney employees are planning a huge walkout on March 22 to protest Chapek not coming out and opposing the legislation the moment it was first introduced in the State Legislature.
The planned walkout is set to occur at 3 p.m. on March 22.
“The LGBTQIA+ workers and allies at The Walt Disney Company are standing in solidarity together over the coming weeks,” an account by the name of “Disney Walkout” posted on Twitter. “Here is our open statement and website,” Disney Walkout added.

On the website is a further explanation on why the employees are planning to walkout on March 22.
“The recent statements and lack of action by TWDC leadership regarding the ‘Don’t Say Gay or Trans’ bill have utterly failed to match the magnitude of the threat to LGBTQIA+ safety represented by this legislation,” a statement on the website reads.
“As a community, we have been forced into an impossible and unsustainable position. We must now take action to convince TWDC to protect employees and their families in the face of such open and unapologetic bigotry. Starting the week of March 14th we will begin a series of collective actions together in order to make our voices and demands heard!”
It’s unclear how many Disney employees are planning to participate in the walkout.
Polls show the majority of Florida voters, as well as voters nationwide, support the legislation Chapek fought to defeat.
So regardless of how many participate, CEO Bob Chapek created a headache for his company with his virtue signaling against the parental rights legislation rather than just staying out of it.
