Donald Trump was furious after he saw a new report out of this battleground state

The 2024 Presidential Primaries start less than 10 months from now.

Polls are showing that it’s a two-man contest for the GOP nomination battle.

And Donald Trump was furious after he saw a new report out of this battleground state.

So far, four candidates have announced they are challenging Donald Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination for president.

But not one of them breaks 10% in any poll.

It’s a two-man race

In fact, even former Vice President Mike Pence, who says he will make a final decision before the end of June, barely makes it into double digits.

The only candidate who can give Trump a run for his money is Florida’s popular Governor, Ron DeSantis.

And that is despite the fact DeSantis hasn’t even announced whether he is running.

In the most recent polls, while Trump still runs slightly ahead of DeSantis in a national poll of likely GOP primary voters, DeSantis is pulling ahead of Trump in some of the key, early states like New Hampshire and Iowa.

While it is still early, with the possibility of even more candidates jumping in the race, one thing is becoming clear to all observers – Ron DeSantis is the only candidate who can beat Trump for the nomination.

DeSantis leads in the Beehive State

And now a recent poll of Utah voters shows Florida Governor Ron DeSantis running ahead of former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head match-up for the GOP Presidential nomination.

And again, this is despite the fact DeSantis hasn’t even announced a run yet.

Most political observers are anticipating an announcement from the Florida Governor shortly after the Florida legislature adjourns for the year in May.

But even though he hasn’t announced, DeSantis has been traveling extensively including speaking at the Utah GOP state convention.

He’s also taken trips to Liberty University in Virginia, a key speaking location for GOP candidates.

DeSantis has also taken trips to New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, and New Hampshire in recent weeks.

And there are already at least two super PACs that have been formed to help promote a DeSantis Presidential run.

A significant lead

In fact, the recent Utah poll was commissioned by one of these super PACs, Never Back Down.

The results of the poll were published in the Deseret News.

WPA Intelligence conducted the poll from April 18-20 among 504 Utah likely Republican primary voters and has a margin of error of four percentage points.

In a two-way match-up, the poll showed DeSantis ahead of Trump 46% to 35%, with 19% of voters saying they are undecided.

A plurality (45%) of those polled said the most important factor when nominating a candidate is finding someone who can beat Joe Biden.

The Never Back Down poll’s findings were similar to those of a Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll conducted in March.

Among Republican voters, DeSantis was in the lead for the GOP nomination, with 31%, Trump had 23%, and former Wyoming Congresswoman and Never-Trumper Liz Cheney came in third with 9%.

While it is still early, DeSantis seems to be racking up support at an amazing rate for someone who isn’t even a candidate yet.
