Ron DeSantis is waging war on the woke Left’s control of education.
The media is in a frenzy over it.
But even MSNBC viewers were floored by this disgusting accusation one contributor levied against Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis recently sent the Left into a tizzy when he rejected an AP black history course because it violated the state’s Stop WOKE Act he signed into law last year.
The Stop WOKE Act prohibits the teaching of Critical Race Theory and other woke ideologies in Florida’s schools.
As usual, the media is viciously attacking DeSantis over his decision, accusing him of racism and claiming he is removing black history from the curriculum.
But MSNBC contributor Jason Johnson went one step further on Wednesday with a new accusation against Ron DeSantis that put jaws on the floor.
Last week, Americans were shocked by the bodycam footage showing five black police officers in Memphis, Tennessee brutally beating 29-year old Tyre Nichols to death.
The five officers who beat Nichols to death, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Mills, Emmitt Martin, and Justin Smith, were also black.
But Jason Johnson is using this tragedy to attack Ron DeSantis by claiming he is “happy with black people being murdered on a regular basis.”
During an episode of Deadline: White House, MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace said it looked like the Board had been “easily intimidated by a single Republican bully” to make changes to the curriculum.
Johnson responded by claiming Ron DeSantis celebrates the death of black people in America.
“There are lots of people who are perfectly happy with black people being murdered on a regular basis,” Johsnson said. “Let’s be honest – they’re happy to see black people be killed, or bare minimum, I think the most charitable interpretation is, black people being killed to them – to politicians like Ron DeSantis, to politicians like [Attorney General David] Cameron in Kentucky – black people being killed is just the cost of doing American business,” he added.
He then claimed the only reason DeSantis opposed teaching Critical Race Theory is because he is pandering to racist parents.
“They don’t care about teaching the actual history of the country, and they don’t care if students develop empathy for each other,” he said. “Nicolle, here’s the thing, this is not about protecting kids, it’s about protecting bigoted adults.”
DeSantis is the first Republican to ever stand up and fight back.
And the media is melting down over Ron DeSantis fighting back and winning against the woke Left.
