Florida could be the big winner from this blue state’s witch hunt against Donald Trump

Democrats shredding the rule of law to target Donald Trump comes with a steep price.

A message is being sent loud and clear to anyone else who tries to cross the Left.

And Florida could be the big winner from this blue state’s witch hunt against Donald Trump.

Former President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization were hit with shocking penalties in the civil suit brought by Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James against him for allegedly inflating the value of assets to get better terms on loans.

Trump was slapped with a $355 million civil penalty by Democrat Judge Arthur Engoron and he, along with three members of his family, were banned from doing business in New York for three years.

Democrats celebrated their victory in the witch hunt against the former President, but the fallout from the case could have major implications on businesses.

Legal experts told Fox News that the “breathtaking” civil penalties against Trump could lead other businesses to abandon New York because the state could target them for frivolous reasons.

Florida could be the beneficiary of New York destroying the rule of law in the fanatical pursuit of getting Trump.

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer told Fox News that the ruling could spur Trump to relocate his entire business empire to Florida.

“If you’re Eric [or] Donald Junior, what are you going to do?” Fleischer said. “[Y]ou just say goodbye to New York, which fits a pattern that many successful people have been doing and leaving New York because New York is just too political, too blue, and too punitive – you’re seeing that in the business community and among upper-income New Yorkers already.”

He added that New York’s justice system has been weaponized, and the state is so heavily Democratic that there’s no political pushback against it.

George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley said that people will take note of Trump’s fine because “when you’re imposing fines larger than the budget of some countries, you really have to wonder whether you’ve allowed your thoughts to run away with your judgment.”

“It’s one of the greatest ironies of this case: In the name of protecting businesses in New York, you probably just led to hundreds of businesses looking at potential rentals in Florida because they look and they go, ‘wow, if we fall on the wrong side of the politics in New York, they could sell us off for spare parts,’” Turley added.

Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary said that he will not invest any more money in New York, which he called a “loser state,” after the Trump penalty.

“I would never invest in New York now,” O’Leary said. “And I’m not the only person saying that.”

Florida could see the arrival of businesses fleeing from New York’s third-world justice system.
