Florida Democrats keep insisting they’re competitive in the Sunshine State.
The latest numbers just exposed that lie.
And Florida GOP fundraising demolishes Democrats with one number that has Nikki Fried in panic mode.
Republicans raised nearly 12 times more than Democrats in latest quarter
The Republican Party of Florida just dropped a fundraising bomb that should have Florida Democrats in full panic mode.
Republicans raised nearly $6.3 million in the latest quarter while the Florida Democrat Party managed to scrape together less than $540,000.¹
Read that again – Republicans outraised Democrats by almost 12-to-1.
That’s not a competitive political party.
That’s a disaster wearing a "Florida Democrats" name tag.
Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power wasn’t shy about rubbing salt in the wound when he released the numbers.
"This overwhelming show of support reflects the confidence Floridians have in our leadership and our results where we outwork, outregister and outraise Florida Democrats," Power said.²
"While Nikki Fried and Florida Democrats are stuck in chaos and confusion, Florida Republicans are delivering on the issues that matter: safer communities, lower taxes and more freedom," Power continued.² "Our record fundraising proves that Floridians believe in our mission and our momentum."²
The fundraising gap comes on top of the voter registration advantage Republicans have built to a staggering 1.4 million registered voters.³
Republicans had 5,505,326 active registered voters as of September 30 while Democrats had just 4,117,871.³
Nikki Fried’s leadership has been a financial catastrophe for Florida Democrats
The fundraising collapse isn’t some one-time blip.
It’s the continuation of a pattern of failure under Florida Democrat Party Chair Nikki Fried’s leadership.
Under Fried’s chairmanship, the Florida Democrat Party raised around $28 million compared to more than $35 million under her predecessor Manny Diaz.⁴
That’s a $7 million drop in fundraising even as Republicans have expanded their dominance across every level of Florida politics.
Fried took over as chair in February 2023 after the Democrat Party’s disastrous 2022 performance where Republicans won every statewide race and expanded their supermajorities in both chambers of the Florida Legislature.⁵
Democrats convinced themselves that bringing in Fried – the last Democrat to win statewide office when she was elected Agriculture Commissioner in 2018 – would turn things around.⁵
Instead, things got worse.
The 2024 election cycle saw President Donald Trump win Florida by 13 points and Republicans expand their already massive legislative majorities.⁴
Now the fundraising numbers show Democrats aren’t just losing elections.
They’re losing the ability to even compete financially.
When your party chairman gets outraised 12-to-1, that’s not a political operation.
That’s a going out of business sale.
Republicans dominate every metric heading into 2026
The fundraising gap matters because Florida heads into a critical 2026 election cycle with major opportunities for Republicans.
Governor Ron DeSantis is term-limited, meaning both parties will compete for an open governor’s mansion for the first time since 2018.
DeSantis appointed Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to fill Marco Rubio’s Senate seat after President Trump tapped Rubio to serve as Secretary of State.⁶
Moody will face voters in a 2026 special election to hold that seat.⁶
Republicans also hold supermajorities in both chambers of the Florida Legislature and outnumber Democrats 20-8 in the state’s congressional delegation.¹

The massive fundraising advantage gives Republicans the resources to dominate the airwaves, run robust voter contact operations, and support candidates up and down the ballot.
Democrats face an impossible task trying to compete when they’re getting outraised at a 12-to-1 clip.
Power credited the fundraising success to the Republican Party’s "continued organized strength" and "enduring conservative principles that prioritize freedom, fiscal responsibility and opportunity for all Floridians."⁸
He also highlighted the leadership of President Trump and Governor DeSantis.
"With President Trump, Governor DeSantis and the work of Republicans at every level, Florida remains a model for the nation," Power said.⁸ "We aren’t just fundraising, we are raising the bar for what effective, principled leadership looks like."⁸
Republicans have built what amounts to a political machine in Florida while Democrats struggle to field competitive candidates or raise the money needed to support them.
The 12-to-1 fundraising gap isn’t just a number.
It’s proof that Florida Democrats have become irrelevant in state politics and Nikki Fried’s leadership has accelerated their collapse into total insignificance.
