Zohran Mamdani stood at his victory podium in November and told New York City there is "no problem too large for the government to solve."
Residents are now fleeing Mamdani’s socialism and escaping to places like Florida.
And Florida just humiliated Mamdani with a thank-you note in Times Square.
Florida Gains $2.4 Million Per Hour While New York Bleeds
The scoreboard isn't close.
According to IRS migration data cited by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida pulls in approximately $2.4 million in net taxable income every single hour while New York loses $1.1 million.
Florida gains 551 residents daily.
New York loses 115.
Florida pulled in $20.6 billion in adjusted gross income from incoming residents between 2022 and 2023 – the largest gain of any state in the country.
New York shed $9.9 billion over that same period.
Florida Chamber CEO Mark Wilson put it plainly.
"We wanted to thank him for the jobs, the companies, the people that they're pushing out of New York – and a lot of them are coming to Florida," Wilson told Fox News Digital.

The billboard says what every economist already knows but Democrats refuse to admit: socialist policies don't keep people, they export them.
It's a massive digital billboard at Broadway and West 43rd Street that reads "Thanks for the jobs!" – and it names Mamdani Florida's "Economic Developer of the Year."
Mamdani Has Already Purged Business Leaders From City Hall
It didn't take long for Mayor Mamdani to show exactly what kind of mayor he was going to be.
Within months of taking office, he disbanded the entire advisory board of the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City – a 30-year-old nonprofit that raised $107 million for the families of first responders killed on September 11.
Gone – replaced with people more aligned with his socialist vision.
He has pushed city-run grocery stores, meaning government-owned supermarkets funded by your taxes.
Apollo Global Management, one of the world's largest private equity firms, began exploring a second headquarters in Florida or Texas.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon noted in his annual shareholder letter that his Dallas office already employs more workers than his New York office – and that trend will likely continue.
City Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, whose family fled the Soviet Union, called Mamdani's election "absolutely devastating."
She wasn't being dramatic.
Florida Cut Taxes 50 Times and Got Richer
Here is the part that makes the socialist math fall apart.
Florida has cut taxes more than 50 times in the last 15 years and now runs a $1.8 trillion economy – the 14th largest in the world.
Wilson says Florida is now pulling in record tax revenues because the economy keeps growing – proof that lower taxes don't starve government, they fund it.
That is how free enterprise works.
New York's state budget is more than double Florida's entire budget.
New York City's municipal budget alone runs more than $8 billion higher than Florida's entire state budget.
Wilson explained exactly what Mamdani does next.
"What do people like Mayor Mamdani do? They want to then increase taxes on the people who are left, which just further accelerates people leaving places like New York."

That is the death spiral every major blue city is running – raise taxes, watch earners leave, raise taxes again on whoever stays, repeat until the tax base collapses.
Andrew Cuomo saw it coming before Mamdani beat him in the primary.
"You keep taxing businesses and wealthy people in New York City, there will be nobody left," Cuomo warned on Fox News.
He lost the race.
He was right about the math.
Florida's billboard campaign isn't stopping at New York – Wilson told Fox News Digital that Chicago, California, and Minneapolis are all in line as runner-ups for the award.
Every state is running an experiment right now.
Fifty different laboratories of democracy, fifty different answers to the same question: what happens when you trust people with their own money versus what happens when the government takes it?
Mamdani already told you where he stands.
His motto is that there is “no problem too large for the government to solve."
Florida put his answer on a billboard in the middle of his own city.
