Florida parents were arrested at their son’s school after one fight went wrong in a hurry

It is bad enough to get in trouble at school.

But it is every student’s worst nightmare to get embarrassed by their parent’s unruly behavior.

And Florida parents were arrested at their son’s school after one fight went wrong in a hurry.

Florida student’s parents attack school resource office after son gets in trouble

There is an old saying that crime runs in the family.

A student at Deltona Middle School in Volusia County, Florida was busted for battery after he shoved a female student.

Jorge Rivera, 46, and his wife, 45-year-old Dagmarie Aponte Iturrino, went to the middle school to meet with the school resource officer who charged their son with battery.

The situation got heated and the couple ended up attacking the school resource officer.

Riveria and Iturrino “protested” the battery charge when tensions boiled over, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

The middle school resource officer’s bodycam caught the melee on video.

“When Jorge didn’t like the outcome of the meeting, he became irate, started screaming at the deputy, and was asked to leave,” the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Rivera started hurling profanity at the female resource officer.

“Why are you this worthless? Do you feel proud that you are this worthless?” Rivera yelled.

Iturrino tried to hold her husband back during the confrontation.

“Shut the f*** up, because I pay your salary you dumb b****,” Rivera raged.

The couple went out into the hallway with the resource officer when things took a turn for the worse.

Iturrino shoved the female resource officer, and Rivera punched her in the face.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded by using her Taser against the couple.

Parents pay the price for going wild at middle school

The Deltona Middle School resource officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment for a concussion after the parents knocked her to the ground in the attack.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood was livid over one of his deputies being attacked at the middle school.

“To say, ‘I’m furious,’ is beyond,” Chitwood said at a press conference. “There’s no reason I have a deputy with a concussion for something so trivial.”

“If you’re wondering why some kids show no fear of consequences in today’s society, look no further than these parents as Exhibit A,” Chitwood stated. “I’m glad they’re locked up, and I look forward to them being held fully accountable for this blatant attack on our deputy who was just doing her job.”

The parents were charged with trespassing at a school, disrupting a school function, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a police officer.

Rivera was also charged with grand theft and robbery for trying to take the resource officer’s Taser when it was on the ground during the fight.

The school resource officer is expected to make a full recovery and return to the job.

Rivera’s son is facing a citation for shoving the female student.

A trip to the middle school to dispute their son’s charge resulted in national headlines and a likely trip to the slammer for the couple.
