Alvin Bragg and Fani Willis did it to Trump.
Now a Democrat prosecutor in Tallahassee just did it to Ron DeSantis' attorney general.
And Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier caught Democrats leaking a grand jury report right before the election.
Grand Jury Found No Crime – So Democrats Leaked It Anyway
The Leon County grand jury finished its work and came back with nothing – no indictments, no charges, no criminal referrals.
The report from January 2026 acknowledged the funds were "misappropriated as part of a sophisticated scheme to fund political activities," but conceded no one could be charged because, in the grand jury's own words, "nobody will take responsibility for deciding the $10 million of taxpayer money would go to Hope Florida."
The jury also observed that "virtually everyone involved is a lawyer and acted on the advice of other lawyers."
Investigation over. Everyone walks.
Then, on August 26, CBS Miami published the confidential report.

Uthmeier faces voters for the first time this November – and that grand jury report hit Florida newsrooms weeks before Election Day.
Uthmeier said Campbell "allowed the Democrats and the media to collude and release his confidential documents" after the jury "found no reason to move forward."
He called it wrong, and said the election-season timing made the motive obvious.
Then he noted he legally couldn't say anything further about the report's contents.
The Attorney General Named It: Abuse of Power
Uthmeier gave Campbell two options for what happened – and framed neither as acceptable.
"It was either a significant abuse of power or gross incompetence," Uthmeier said.
Campbell has run the Leon County State Attorney's office since 2017.
For months, his office cited statutory grand jury secrecy exemptions to block reporters from accessing any records about the investigation.
Then the report appeared at CBS Miami.
Uthmeier publicly accused Campbell of "weaponizing the judicial system to bring a politically motivated case against the DeSantis administration" and "abusing his office."
This is the playbook Democrats have been running for a decade.
A prosecutor opens an investigation.

The investigation produces nothing criminal.
Confidential findings get quietly handed to a friendly media outlet.
Headlines write themselves.
And the election is decided.
They did it in Manhattan.
They did it in Atlanta.
Now they're doing it in Tallahassee.
This Is What Weaponization Actually Looks Like
Democrats spent two years screaming about Republicans "weaponizing" the justice system.
What actually happened in Florida tells a different story: a Democrat state attorney pursued a politically motivated probe, the grand jury declined to charge a single person, and the confidential findings turned up at a television station eight weeks before the election.
Worth noting: the investigation wasn't even launched by Democrats.
Republican House member Rep. Alex Andrade triggered it by sending records to Campbell's office after conducting his own legislative probe.
Campbell's office declared those records part of an "open investigation" – and that investigation ultimately produced a report timed perfectly for maximum political damage.
Uthmeier was defending the underlying deal as recently as August 28 on America's Newsroom, calling it a "totally perfect deal" and explaining the $10 million was a separate concession from the main Centene settlement.
DeSantis called the grand jury findings a "misrepresentation" of facts.
Uthmeier called the entire investigation a "politically motivated witch hunt."
Neither man is backing down.
Uthmeier is staring down a Democrat prosecutor, a media establishment that published a confidential document the moment someone handed it over, and a November ballot – and he isn't apologizing for a thing.
